U sure US6.5 is Eu 42?

I'll tried a pair from church at F us6.5. Seems a little tight for me because the leather is solid and hard. Not sure if the size is correct for me. Can I take it that the last will apply for all other brands?
Sorry a noob here

Define tight where? Across the ball, toebox etc. Ideally for length you use heel to ball. For width is ball width. And instep height for more aggressive lasts.

Leather will break regardless. Cup your palm with your hand snug. That should be the rough feel of a good fit.

Last wise most english makers should be the same (cept G&G) and also similar for AE/Alden. But going into Spannish/Italian/Hungarian lasts then abit more difficult as they ofted have very aggresive shapes so need to account for instep amongst other measurements.

And UK6.5 is Eur40 and US 7. If you are fitted by the SA at church then shld be quite accurate. Going up by 2 sizes to 42 is abit drastic. The most is .5/1 size up down.

US6.5 or UK6.5? Both are different with US sizing around half a size bigger than UK sizing, e.g. US6.5 will be UK6.
Church's should be UK sizing.

If you are US6.5 doesn't mean that the same size will fit for all shoes, cos different last and different brands have different sizing.

I would say I felt tightness at the mid foot area. Toe box was just enough to wriggle my toes so after a while it should be fine. Not sure if I need a wider last.

Shoe care experts here need your advice:

Right now I only have the cream polish (dark brown) and brush. Am I able to Polish my shoe with just the cream and water using cloth and brush?

If not, I'm looking into buying the wax polish, do I need to get the wax color similar to my shoe color? This is cause I watched some videos and if I'm not mistaken they used a black wax polish on a pair of dark brown shoes.

Also, is saphir renovateur necessary?

Thanks in advance all! :s12:

Skip the water with cream.. not sure where you got the idea that these 2 can go together..

Apply the cream using cloth and u can further use brush/cloth to polish in the cream thereafter.

I suspect the video u saw using black colour wax on brown shoes was a case of trying to create a burnished patina effect (presumably on the toe cap /heel areas). Try googling for images if u are not sure what I mean..

If u prefer your shoes to look the way they are now, best to use cream/wax that is in a colour shade closest to your shoes.

From what I've read, colour cream contains adequate 'stuff' to keep your shoes supple so it may not be necessary to use renovateur with cream. If you use only wax polish, then it would be good to also use renovateur to 'nourish' the leather once in a while as wax has a 'drying' effect on the leather and could cause cracks (either because of wax build-up itself or on the leather directly) over time. FWIW, I practice the aforementioned in my personal shoe care regime.

If heel to ball length is ok. Then up width but remain same length

Easiest way to to use a Brannock device to see ur width.
