Hey, anyone has experience with J.Fitzpatrick loafers? How is quality compared to say Carmina or Loake 1880?

Anywhere that I can try the sizes for J.Fitzpatrick shoes?

Trying to find my "perfect" pair of loafers. Care to give me some ideas.

Some criterias. Not suede. Not tassel/string loafers. Must not have split toe.

Cheers :)

i think i have 3-4 pairs from JF. Maybe i will go visit him later this month.

Quality wise i cant complain. I never had a Carmina or Loake b4.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Paid EEL a visit ytd night due to their clearance sale. To my surprise, there were still some decent choices left. Managed to snag the following pair at only 100$! (Size 40-41)

Any idea what model this is? It wasn't written on box.

Hi all. I'm going uk on a trip soon. Are the shoes there (c&j, cheaney etc) "try and buy and claim tax" or "try and come back singapore buy online" kind? Wondering which are the online retailers with good prices and if they are ultimately cheaper... thanks

If u buy online, u get full tax deduction (20%) but may incur delivery charges n gst. Buying there n claiming tax refund u get back abt 16% at best. You may get deals not avail online eg c&j seconds sales which can be quite alot of discount. Or if u are focused on the shopping, can visit factories in northampton for "outlet" seconds or discontinued stuff.

Thanks for your input. Do you also happen to know if the shops along jermyn street sells seconds or discounted shoes or do I have to go to their factories at Northampton to find those deals? I only know church's usually does 40% off on Boxing Day.

Didn't have the chance to drop by Northampton when I was in the U.K a year ago. I did see some shoes on discount along Jermyn street (specifically C&J, church's, foster and son and Jones Bootmaker - carries Loake). I guess there are likely to be more bargains during the sales season.

Seconds are all at the factory at Northhampton. Stores amongst Jermyn street you can still get like a 10% discount off First if there's a very minor aesthetic issue outside of the usual Sales period.

One pro of buying online is that u certainly dont have to figure out how to stuff 3-4 shoe boxes into ur luggage when you're otw home

P.S try to avoid church unless you're into bookbinder leather kinda shietz

So it's true that their quality dipped since Prada took over? I actually got a pair of cheaney from the recommendation of a sales rep from c&j last month when I was in London. All I could remember from church's was the high prices and less than friendly service. Was gonna do a bit more homework this time before going again.

Not alot of people have good things to say about church after prada + go google on their bookbinder leather aka plastic coated corrected grain. but i guess we arnt their fashion demographic anyway.

Cheaney is indeed a very nice brand. Guess where the Church family are now? Its Cheaney! :s13:

They bought over the company in 2009. Cheaney is basically good old Church
