In that order, if you are wearing office wear.

For casual clothes, it depends on the brogues and soles etc.

Tan brogues when matched with blue jeans is IMBA siah!

But for office wear, I would go with a dark brown cap toe oxford (conservative) and burgundy brogues (a bit more stylo milo).

also, do they have the 'lower-end' series like edetal has (not sure if they still do) that retails for ~S$180?

It's $295 per pair for their RTW range. They are offering 5% off first pair, two pairs at 10%, and 20% for 3pairs and more.

As for their MTO orders, prices starts from $450 for Goodyear welted and $600 for handwelted/norwegian. Boots will have an additional $50 surcharge. Orders will take approximately 8 weeks to deliver.

I'm unsure too if they offers a 'lower-end' series.

using wax polish on wholecuts

do you guys use wax polish on a pair of wholecuts? I was wondering if it will look odd if the polish is only applied to the toe and heel area as wholecuts are supposed to give off a very clean, minimal and uniform look.

BTW Urban, it might not be such a good idea getting size advice on SF. All of us that have tried have found that our Asian feet are very different.

IMHO double monks are still fairly rakish (at least in Singapore).

Good for rotation/variety but perhaps not as a staple/go-to pair for the office.

Of course that is fairly generalising and depends on many factors like your industry, age, other aspects of your office dress wear, etc

hmm why not? I think it's fine to have mirror shine toe caps and heels and regular shine on rest of the shoes.

ut ultimately depends on how u personally like your shoes to look though, which you seem to already have something in mind.

Where is the LLYR's MTO retail located? I would presume the MTO would also be from their Viet factory, unless they have since acquired shoemaking abilities themselves to manufacture MTO locally.

variation of brogue: full (long wing vs short wing), semi, quarter, adelaide, blind, austerity, spectator
variation of double monk: buckle type, plain toe, cap toe, brogueing on toes

however what do you think about the quality and/or make of their shoes? worth the price before or even after the discount?
