Polishing with Saphir neutral wax. Not mirror shine standard yet.

You got use cream? Pigmentation around the vamp seems worn and lacking compared to the toebox.

Nope. This is a new pair. It's blue museum calf, hence the uneven colour. I am not sure if I use navy cream on it, will the cream affect the museum calf pattern hence didn't get any cream for it

When buying Loake don't buy "polished" leathers. Buy only the shoes which use calf in their descriptor for leathers.

"Polished" is a nicer way of saying corrected grain.

My experience for mirror shine is that it probably takes more than 25 coats to get a good shine and more and more later to add to the mirror effect.

Anyway, how shiny you want it to be depends on the entire outfit.

Herring uses DHL, thus fast shipping but will kenna gst + $20 admin fee if more than S$400.

Robinson uses normal registered mail. 2 weeks to reach, but will likely siam gst. On and off they give 20% store wide discount. The last one was on 31 Jul. Free shipping if more than 150UKP.

I have bought from Pediwear a few times for Crocketts. Have found them to be very nice guys, responsive and sincere.
They typically ship via royal mail which tends to escape GST. But no harm reminding them once you place an order, because if you buy more than 1 pair, it will exceed their weight cutoff and they switch to DHL / Fedex, one of these. And you'll definitely be dinged with GST then.

25 coats is alot. Now at 4 layers already took me 10min per shoe. Still got a long way to a mirror shine.

Was at septieme shop recently saw their collections quite nice, saw one customer's pair waiting for collection like Berluti patina really nice.

Their price of sub 800 also reasonable for a GyW.

Might as well get Carmina.

The mark-up on SL shoes compared to their EUR prices is horrendous, made worse by the weak EUR.

If you really want to get a pair, make it a patina pair and not the RTW ones.. would feel less of a rip-off.. at least for me.
