where can I try out Allen Edmunds or Church shoes locally?

How do you guys normally figure out sizing when you buy online? I mean, different shoes will have different fit right? Just wondering how do you guys get it right...

Taka has church shoes last time I've been there. AE shoes have to estimate like what I've did with my feet size and size in other brand shoes

how's AE/Church shoes fit like? Is the fit truly to size, or is it slightly smaller/bigger?

eg, my cole haan shoes are generally half size smaller (US 9.5 instead of US 10 which is my usual size)

I'm worried it may not fit and returning may be a hassle...

Ae has a good return policy but not sure if it is so for us Asian customers. I haven't receive the shoes yet but I took my meermin size and emailed them as well as to check online with other user s experience before going for it.

I feel that there's no such thing as 'usual' size now cause diff shoes have diff shape/last which will translate to diff sizing fitting you well Haha.

yeah I suppose so... that's why i'm trying to minimise the risk! haha..

Furthermore, I'm such a sucker for wholecut oxfords and they are the worst to fit cos the front may or may not be too narrow.

Wholecuts are more forgiving than captoe (oxfords) actually if ur concern is on width. Where wholecuts are unforgiving is creasing! Lol

Extensive SF research, emailing online retailers or the brands themselves may help. Good luck!

Once you nail down a size in a more 'popular' brand, it will be easier to guess your other sizes in other brands.

I like the chelsea 82 'almond' last personally and not so much the 8xx chiseled lasts, but any EG is good when the price is right! Good luck!

there is basically no fake goods on taobao selling as real. any sellers who selling fake as real will be kicked out in no time, because buyers are not stupid at all.

i have seen imitations (a counterfeit LV bag or Rolex watch, for example), production line drop off/left over (branded T-shirt with small defect, for example), or even things that factory operators managed to "smuggle" from production line. however, the "nature" of these stuffs are always described clearly or obviously. that's the hidden rules. they are never described and selling as official or real stuffs.

My PRC friends all shy from buying branded stuff on taobao as too many fake, dyson or roomba replacement filter or cleaners. It's interesting to find overseas taobao buyers have so much confidence and local buyers little confidence.

China authorized dealers refuse to service or provide accessories to buyer who are not registered in the database. Don't buy from AD cannot get on the list. Funny when many PRC claim majority of Chinese wuliangye sold in China are all fake, those puer tea sold claim 20-50 yr old fake.

Unfo not everything from Taobao is cheaper, esp for foreign imports. Our local prices are even lower than US btw

Saphir French product, buying from EU store will be cheaper. U.K. Store selling £4 for 50ml tin, USA like $11
