Almost of the shoes from Wizard of Oz are made in Spain. This one is particularly interesting.

EEA/LLYR/Josh follow the more traditional schools of shoe craft. Which is to say generally welted footwear with a focus on premium materials and more subtle styling.

Wizard guys seems to focus more on flashy fashion forward shoes. Louder designs and from what I see, mostly cemented/blake construction.

Cant really compare. both very different animals

If by "Josh" you are referring to Josh Leong, then this is an erroneous comparison. Apart from closing the uppers and buffing the heels during finishing stages with a machine, Josh does everything else by hand.
EEA and llyr are both essentially factory produced, machine made shoes. The only thing they have in common, is that they have an association with Singapore. That's where any similarity ends.

That post was really leaning more towards house styling/aesthetics with a baseline of been minimally welted. Which is what establishments with an emphasis on fashion styling tend to avoid, due to the fickle nature of trends.

But yes, one cant compare basic RTW lines to Bespoke. Though now you've got me piqued as to how Ed's bespoke service compares to Josh

Hi not sure if you're thinking of rubber sole protectors instead. Those are also commonly referred to as "topy". For those around 30sgd.

For resoling of Goodyear welted shoes, can check edetal or Mason and smith

Sent from Huawei NEXUS 6P using GAGT

thanks lumin87. wanna check, are there any other alternatives? Ed Et Al is 180, I presume Mason and Smith charges in the same price range. Anything more reasonable? :)

Hijack your question a bit, but can I ask if there is an advantage to using natural material shoe horns over the free plastic ones that come with my shoe order?

Got one of these from brooksbrothers (free due to their shipping error). Great horn. Esp for bigger ppl with larger feet/more weight, no worries about breaking flimsy plastic horns.
