The other thread no reply. Let me try here.

Hi. Any recommendations for value for money casual shoes/sneakers for work? Most important is base must be durable and wont let water seep in. My current one everytime rain shoes and socks wet

Depends on the style you are looking for. You can try those hiking shoes with goretex lining or can go for this brand called FiveTen freeRider Elements shoes. Those are weatherproof but then it is normal shoes. so water can still seep in where your ankles are.

Does anybody know of a show that’s good for people on their feet all day? Ideally it looks smart but as comfortable as a sneaker

Hey guys, hoping to pick your brain. I’m looking to get a pair of shoes but undecided on what to get next. Really just a feet itchy kind of thing. Here’s what I currently have:
Black captoe oxford
Dark brown adelaide oxford
Light brown suede chukkas
Regular Timberlands
Chunky chelsea boots from Dr. Martens

A bit of background... I use orthopedic insoles so I avoid loafers or shoes without laces. I’m a teacher so I do not have to conform to CBD.

So, what do you guys suggest I get next? I was thinking another pair of suede chukkas (in olive?), brown wingtip austerity brogues, or even just a pair of plain white sneakers for casual Fridays.

I would suggest a plain toe derby. On a brown grain leather. It would be okay for your work use, as well as a nice weekend shoe.

There are tons of shoes to choose from if the above is your current shoe collection:

Split-toe
wholecuts
full-brogued captoes
Balmoral (boots/shoes)
Double/Single - monks
Lazy-man

Mix and match any of the above with an insane variety of leather uppers, patina combinations.

Thanks bros urban and arc. A pebble-grain derby and maybe a museum calf wholecut does sound nice!

This might help you decide. :s13:

Shoutout to Yeossal - Great shoes! Neat workmanship, considering its an Aeris range.

Trying to find a brand that suits these criteria.

1. Goodyear welted
2. Rubber soles
3. Extra wide width

Any recommendations? Tried Orbans which satisfied first 2 criteria but was too tight even after shoe stetching

Criterion 3 would be highly elusive or i dare say even non-existent in so far as being available as a standard and not requiring MTM. If i were u would just go for MTM.

Try wide last shoes and go with wide width instead. Don't bother trying Oxford, unless bespoke it will hardly fit. Go with derby.

Also looking for this, those with soles that can be replaced.

Does ed et al have such?

Carlos santos alentejo

Does anyone here own a pair of Carlos santos in Alentejo? How does the color differ compared to Carmina in burgundy calf?

Hi all shoe enthusiast,

Any idea where I can buy a Black Cap Toe Double Monk (No brogue) Curve Tip shoe that is not cemented?

Tried Tangs, Robinson, Isetan but to no avail. Not keen on Earnest & Collective (cement and tip is slightly square/chiseled). I prefer a curve tip with no resemblance of a square/chisel.

Budget at a hard cap of 250. Probably the biggest challenge. Still open to listening to options above the hard cap.

Thank you!

Probably meermin hiro last at that price range. Problem is after adding shipping it will be about $300.
