hold off the topy till you break in the shoes and rough up the leather sole a bit. or else the glue have no surface to grip.

Steady will do...should I do both the front or back? Cause I rem someone recommend just the front will do...

The cobbler will grind / sand the sole to ensure a consistent surface to glue the topy anyway.

Just depends how you want to do it. I always topy before wearing at all.

Depends on your walking pattern. For me I do both.

You will never experience the joy of walking on full leather sole if you go topy your shoes straight away. After topy is different feeling.

Its like with or without rubber kind of difference. :s13:

Understand what you mean, my tods penny loafer was put on with rubber heel and sole protection even before I wear it.

During testing for my dm last week, feel very slippery when I walk over to the mirror and see...

Any brothers here wearing atelier llyr shoes. Any reviews?

The pair is lasted on a narrow last so the fit is snug so perhaps trying it on would give a better idea on sizing.

Pros are that the shoes are comfortable and the leather takes polish pretty well. IMO, the quality of leather is better than ed's earlier collections in terms of how it ceases and ages.

Cons are that while the red insole make it look unique, it bled onto my socks so it wasnt really pleasant. The pair also had this weird synthetic smell even with shoetrees in.

Otherwise I like the fit and the aesthetic of the shoe.

Humble Petia Choo aka Shoeshine Uncle, can i bring my shoe to you for a shoeshine one of these days? I dont mind paying for your services, i want to see how good are you. U look very young in your foto, how old are u by the way, if you dont mind me asking? And do u have a shop?

Why don't you come down for the shoeshine gathering. You can see for yourself.

I started shoe shinning as a hobby and help out family and friends. If you really need help with your shoes, you know my number to call for an appointment.

Unfortunately I do not have a shop, either you have to come down all the way to my place or wait till you can ambush me when I am going down town.

Please don't tell me you haven't been maintaining your shoes all these while.

I would like to seek everyone cooperation not to thrash up the place. Have a hard time finding a location.

For the sake of disclosure, I do not make any money out of organising this Shoeshine Event. If anyone wants to offer a better place for future gatherings, please feel free.
