im not related to this guy, but edify is making a goodyear-welted leather shoes. damn reasonable price, 250sgd only. he is trained in europe and can also do recrafting. so you can buy from overseas too and repair in singapore.

You will be hard-pressed to find goodyear-welted, full calf uppers Made in England shoes in Singapore for less than $400... Italian shoes, at least $600.

yup not cheap. maybe its only for soles that are destroyed beyond means. maybe can contact him for different pricing.

shipping cost about 40 sgd per pair though.

i just browsed herringshoes for loakes. all the 200+sgd ones are black polished which is s h i t e imo. i believe ed's shoes are calf and comparable to loake 1880, which cost 300sgd+ without shipping.

it is always nice to support local stuff and know a guy is making them rather than a huge factory. also, ed has a few models you will not see in loake. the monkstrap or the wholecut anyone?

Is all the 250 SGD model hand made by the local guy in SG? or he outsource it to some factory? I still say that the pictures are in sufficient for his website, will be good if he can put up more angle, look at sides like amazon, at least 5-6 picture from different angle - just my opinion.

His bespoke service looks gd but too steep for me.
I see Herring's shoe quite ok, cost about 300 SGD after shipping, full leather in sole,calf leather and goodyear welt.

Unless you dont mind splurging on an expensive pair of shoes, if not $150 and below should be able to get you a nice and comfy pair of shoes.
