Hmmm I've never noticed this bowing issue before until you guys mentioned it. I will check it out when I wear my Fifth Ave's later this week. However, from the pictures I see online, I think this could be due to the lacing gap?

From this picture, it seems that the bowing could be caused by the position of the tongue wrt to the lacing gap. If the gap is closed out more, i think the bow will be minimized or eliminated.
Well, that's more or less how bowing looks like although it's probably exaggerated for effect by not lacing up tight...
On another note that might be of interest to people here. Bata came up with a sleeker line of wingtips (reminds me of the AE McTavish line) on top of the Ambassador line. Spotted these while shopping yesterday.
Leather quality and stitching is as per what you expect for the BATA namesake but I guess it's a decent attempt?
