How does the 2 pair shoe delivery work? U try n then send back 1 pair?

They brought 2 pairs to my place and when the smaller one (41) fits me,they bring 42 back. You can ask for 3 sizes if you want just to be safe. They are nice to talk to. :)

Like you, I had many questions but 1 visit to their shop gave me the following observations.
1) Black soles are thinner. If you are used to GY shoes, you may not want to go with Blake.
2) There is a reason why Blake soles are practically half the cost of the GY variants.
3) I would probably go for their $300 GY models which are think are not bad, and is good since we can try.
4) All their lasts are made with standard widths. They don't even have G widths, so it is a challenge for me if i do pull the trigger.
5) I am even prepared to consider their next range which is actually hand welted and comes with a beveled waist on the sole.
6) I left the shop with a Saphir Creme and 2 pairs of socks.

Good trip for me.

Next time i buy a new shoe, I will be popping by Ed.

Another notable difference is that blake shoes have higher chances of getting your feet wet, as the sole is stitched directly to the upper (as opposed to there being a welt in the middle) - meaning that water from the ground is wicked through the threads, straight into the shoe. This is of course mitigated somewhat by glueing a leather piece over the sole to cover the stitching, or if you choose to topy your soles, but the propensity is still greater.

Alright, thanks!

The shoes look quite cheap. was just thinking of buying a pair. Are they comfortable? I usually wear my shoes and walk about the whole day.

eh... 37?! how small is ur feet?

Quite small honestly. For eg my Red Wing 875 I wear 5.5.... But I am not tall also lor, only 165... :(

That time I was having 2nd thoughts if I should go for size38 instead, but I feel about 1inch gap in the toe area. So since they can custom to a size smaller at same price, why not lor.

so its MTO for 500 bucks? Went to try yesterday too. Their normal width too small for me, I would have to take 48 EE MTO for 500 bucks too but still considering. Anyway I bought a pair of Loakes for 439 at Robinsons yesterday. Online could have got it for 360 or so but for my first pair, I thought it would be safer to try the cut as different brands have different cut. Turns out other shoes I usually buy UK11 G width but Loakes this pair, the UK11 G width was a bit tight and luckily they had UK12 G width. From now on, at least I know my Loakes cut.

yeah this particular one is last 26 with G Fitting. My problem has always been my left foot wider than my right. Whatever fits my left foot very well is a bit big for my right. So finding a near perfect shoe is quite difficult, this Loakes one fits quite snugly for my left and not much heel slip on my right, so its very good hehehe...

MTO is only when you customise the leather and colour based on the existing designs right? I only requested smaller size, no change to material or colour thus same price.
