Usually as far as shoe size advice go, they will need a reference point such as another british or american made shoe that you've worn or own. If not, the first pair should always be bought physically.

I would like to know too. I'm currently wearing a pair of Church's shoes of size 7.5 G, and would like to know if this applies to Herring & Loake as well. Anyone can advise?

For this type of shoe, you also have to compare the last as well as the size. Do you know the last of your 7.5G (Wide btw) Church's?

I'm wearing the Consul. According to Herring's site, it should be Church 173 last.

I owned a Loake shoe, been using it for about 2 months at least. There's been 2 crease lines at the top of my shoes where i pick my feet. Just wondering how u guys manage to maintain your shoes in a way that the crease are not noticeable or without any crease at all.

I have been conditioning and polishing my shoes at least twice a week and used a shoe tree. My mistake was i did not condition my shoes at my first use. Can someone please advice me?

You are over conditioning the shoes.. It should be once over a number of months. Not twice a week. Does not matter if you didn't condition before first use. That is not the point. The point is to condition it preferably before the leather dries out.

Thanks for the advice guys!! I guess i'll only condition it if i happen to notice the leather drying out. So i'm guessing that it's inevitable to have a creaseless leather shoes.

I wouldn't bother too much about the creases unless they're cracking the leather. A bit of creases adds character to the shoe.

I suspect you, as well as many people have been tying laces the wrong way all your life. Have you read this?

+1. Taka's Church selling price is still less than $1000.

So far, the only $1000 shoes I have seen in Taka are Santoni - Italian hand made.
