Heh, Meermins and Carminas arrived in SG this morning
I couldnt escape GST .... which was .... significant .... bloody hell

We are required to pay GST only when the total reaches 400 right? Hope my loafers won't get it.
My friend's carmina together with the GST amount up to 700sgd. I'll just wait for my trip to HK and head over to armoury to get my pair of carmina. :s13:

SGD700 is thereabout the retail of carminas at the armoury.

So if you make a trip over, certainly it's better to buy there than getting online.

Holding my breathe to see what KS charges when they retail carminas in Singapore!

As a matter of coincidence, read the few posts just before yours!

And on this topic, a question to those with dress boot experience: How do your pants break on dress boots (vs regular dress shoes)? Do you need to tailor separate pants to factor in the required length/break of your pants?

Those dress boots look great! But I prefer to try them on before buying. Are there any shops or brands I can find in SG?

My budget is around $500, could be more if the boots are really killer.

Yeap , $400 is the magic number
However, shipping costs are also included in this total
I guess I cant really complain, my Carmina bill came up 829 Euros (inc shipping), and one of the shoes are shell cordovan ... so I guess, GST cannot run
But still, very killer man

Yeap! Was thinking since the prices are around the same, i'll just head over there to take a look at the end of the year.

KS is bringing them in? Cool! Is there anywhere i could read this online?
Was casually talking with my friends about wanting to bring dress shoes in, carmina being one of the brand. But they told me that after adding in all the tax and all, the price would be out of the budget for the average singaporeans :s13:

Anyway
I'm not sure if anyone has shared this yet
This looks similar to the 2013 list that was shared by bro boysdontcry last year, but there are new additions eg the US brands
Nice read!

managed to go down and check this out with their staff because i was working around the area, the carminas will be retailing at $650, which in fact is cheaper than purchasing online

Thinking of getting another black captoe oxford. Any recommendations? Budget around $300 to $600.

first let me upload a pic of my meermin DMs that just came yesterday
observe the area near the welt just behind the toecap area
there is a very obvious white line that appears the leather is discoloured / not dyed properly
