Hi guys, I am actually fairly keen on getting the calf tassle loafers from Meermin - classic collection. I understand that sizing can vary from different manufacturers and especially between shoe lasts (oxford vs loafers, and etc).
As such, is there anyone here with any experience with Meermin shoes online purchasing, particularly tassle loafers? As a point of referrence, I am wearing Edetal's Cityhall size 39(EE width) and Vass 39.5 oxford.
If it's possible, can we meet-up and coffee's on me!![]()
That would be me. I'm a 39 for EEA as well. I wear a 5.5 for Ron last loafers. I'm actually game if you want to meet up to try. Would like to know my size for Vass as well.

Just to chip in. I wear both EEA's Cityhall (Oxfords) and Amoy Quee II (Loafers) in 38. Emailed to Meermin support on the correct sizing to get and was advised on a 6 for my Rapello Loafers on the Ron last. All 3 shoes fit like a dream, maybe I just got lucky.
Interesting though cos BallGag's 5.5 Ron loafers fit when he's on a 39 for EEA. My Meermins will be a beast to wear if it was any smaller!

Really boils down to there is no correct conversion. Everyone is unique and therefore shoes off the internet are always a gamble.
Ballgag struck big on simpson last (which he initially reckoned 70% chance wouldnt fit).
Looks good! Where did you buy them from, and what's the full name for this brand?
Wanna share result of dyeing with slight patina of my Edetal mountbatten boot.... Quite satisfied with my first attempt. Will try to do patina next time once I get hold of another shoe to try....

anw, these dye suppose to last? with proper care and all? pardon my ignorance, just started to dabble with dress shoes.
Yap DIY... Try for fun since I always wanted to change the colour on this boot.
The colour dye are meant for recolouring of the shoe so it should stay... In any case I still got some leftover for standby

Bro Alvin, please organise a patina workshop soon. Hehe. It's quite amazing you starting off big with boots. I can see some Septième Largeur and Caulaincourt's patina feeling here.![]()
No lar, not there yet... for fun and kick only... I only got this boot which I think is the best for patina (cheap and light colour)
Anyway did you patina-ed the soles too? Attach pics if you did. Interested to see the results.
who wears over the calf socks, show of hands please!
Once you go OTC you can't go back.
