Can anyone recommend a good leather conditioner please?

I'm thinking of spending only about $10 though.

TRG the one shoe cream in neutral. Or Pedag leather lotion. I bought from Metro City Hall, 7.50 and 10 plus

And what makes you think Ed's RTW are not comparable to the MIC Meermin's ?

Besides the whole Spanish vs Singaporean label.

I won't go near Meermin Classic and would much rather go for Ed's even though the leather used could be taken up a notch. It doesn't take polishing as well as I would like.

MIC Meermin's have had quality issues with regards to the attachment of the sole.

Only Meermin LM is worth going for which makes Ed's RTW price point/value is still unbeatable and great for getting beater shoes for rainy weather.

Who can say no to a good fit too?

Honestly I can't say for sure is based on feedback of other people who I trust is much more experienced than me. I am just a shoe noob. But one thing for sure it will be damn cool to be wearing the Merlion or the Raffles or the LKY (I foresee a future model named such) on our local feet.

I doubt it. Singapore lacks the creative juice in Fashion. If it did happen, I will still not buy it...simply it is made in Singapore from Cheap labor...hhahahahahahaa. I expect fair trade.

Another pair to be in my hit list.

Remember, to look for complete leather outside and inside, including the leather sole. Be prepared to put in about $300 dollars for a decent pair.

Sorry I am a shoe collector. In Singapore due to the freaking hot and humid weather, I hate it, you need to let the leather shoes out to air and dry up. So you need a few pairs to rotate them around. Singapore weather is pretty bad for fungus to grow, so you need to invest in some spray to kill any fungus.

these shoes which brand ah

This thread seriously lacks pictures.

I'm sure there are lots of shoe enthusiasts in SG that would love to show us their trophies. Please do. :)

If not for the fact that personal shoe porn pictures may divulge one's identity, I would share some of my small collection. :o

Thanks for the recommendation! You used both before? Do either of them contain silicon or leave a residue?

I use both. Ingredients wise you can see the website. I don't think got silicone. I have a Tarrago spray that that purpose. I spray on umbrella just to see the lotus leaf effect lol.

The lotion is slighty soapy and is more moisturising. Shea butter and lanolin. Sounds like facial product.

The cream works the same but slightly more shine but is like a satin effect. Not the kiwi kind of shine.

Lotion suppose to have mild cleaning effect but I use Columbus toothpaste type cleaner much faster but it is harsh.

IMO both are equally good is matter of what scent I prefer to inhale that particular day. I will top off with a bit of neutral kiwi if need a kilat shine to see panties. Or starwax for the black office shoes.

Nb the kiwi brown and dark brown no diff one, both are way too dark so i only use a little bit for scuff repairs if need be. Way harder to shine than neutral.

Here is my panties mirror shine, my RSM would be proud of me. Its a very vintage C&J made for a defunt Canadian dept store, bought from edmw forummer. I had to restore the leather as it was very parched and dry. A bit of external crack. Replace the laces and replace the leather heel and vibram on top of it all as the sole is a bit chui.

This pair of shoe teach me all the maintenance steps, before them I was bo chup about leather care one.

Besides put in cedar shoe tree anything else I should do. One of the toe cap will develope a dark stain when I use water for the shine. Only can slowly use breathe to shine and is time consuming. One mistake need to redo entire thing.

My apologies I read this thread as working shoes for old retirees. Maybe nowadays young executives need working shoes worn by celebrities and sports stars.
