Anyone has extra Saphir Renovateur to sell?

Or any place that sells Saphir Reno cheaper than Ed Et Al? His products very overpriced leh, even online + shipping beat his price by quite a bit.

Have not tried out the shoes from Ed Et Al. Went to its website and had a look. A same entry price of a pair of Italian Made Shoes. Alright for $300 dollars for an all leather, so let's us forget about the country of origin. Design wise, not bad, very classic lot, conservative, oxford usual.
Will go and buy a couple of pairs in June and tried them on for review. Flying off for project again and be back in June....hhahahahahaha see ya.

I read arch's comment as meaning to say Vass (through Ugolini) creating U and F for the Japanese market... or maybe I am reading this wrong.

Well yeah.

Vass constructed them, Ugolini designed them.

Damn, what a pity... So why is your nick Kiton? A nick like that attracts a lot of attention. :s22:

And what shoes are those in your avatar?

Well, that was the point :s13:

The shoes in my DP are by Koji Suzuki's Spigola range.

What are the most value-for-money Blake stitched shoes available here? How about overseas?

Welted shoes have been discussed so much, but not Blake ones. :(

I am currently in Germany, any tips on what brand of quality shoes that I can get it in Europe? I might be going to Italy for travel, I have seen people saying Italian shoes are still the best quality, but my budget is below 300 euros, i want a slim cut brown/camel color wingtip or black wholecut shoes, any recommendation?

But at GY welted prices, right? Looking for cheap shoes (less than S$150) that are a step above glued ones in durability.

I feel the same too, let me know if you find them.

I think we have same philosophy. haha people with too little money and too fine tastes.

This is the most epic post in a long time. Brutal but honest opinion.

But I am afraid there is some misunderstanding, there is no snobbery around. The reference of DW as a joke is due to someone going over to the tailoring threads and saying people who bespoke their clothes are having ego issues, thus leading to a retort.

Besides this, the post is so epic I give my

PS: I get my Korean MTO shoes in less than $100 including shipping straight from Korea, that's why I say DW is a joke.

Just a Warning to all planning to buy the budget Korean MTO. Do not transfer money directly to seller use the portal for all your payments.

Internet shopping has its dangers.

Sizing is at your own risk.

You get what you pay for. Less than 100 dun expect full leather soles and gy welt.

Despite all these I would buy another shoe from the seller rather than from Bata or even Aldo. The seller also have a fashion range made with plastic fake leather. Those quality are absolutey landfill.

Do not venture out to those pages.

I guess can get the bata ones? Some people posted the pics and look like the sole is stitched on. Dunno blake or GY welted but should be cheaper than $150.

Or not clarks when they are on sale lo. My first pair of leather shoes were clarks before I started looking for better shoes. Good enough to last for 1+year of daily wear without rotating.

Bata should be Blake bah. How did your Clarke shoes fail? The sole and upper split? Or the upper tore?

I think quite hard to find Blake-stitched shoes cheaply.

Considering the blake method of construction is most widely used in Europe, mainly Italy.

And RTW Italian shoes are mostly overpriced for the quality they offer.

So quite hard to help you there.

But how would you know the others are 'plastic fake leather'? Unless you bought one before?

The shoe size in mm is really... :s11:
