Preloved - Grenson Stanley brogues from MRporter

Selling a pair of Grenson Stanley brown brogues I have bought from Mrporter few days back, and I have only received it today morning. Reason for selling was because I find the sizing it to be a little too small for my feet, and will be ordering another pair half size bigger, from Mrporter again. I might be returning them if I am unable to sell them, but I do hope someone would save me from the hassle.

PM me if interested.

*returned to mrporter

Ed et al shoes are excellent even if the RTW collection is made in vietnam.I've two pairs of RTW and one pair of custom. Love them to bits.

I disagree with the fact that they age poorly. I've had mine for over 3 months and they look good so far. Of course i polish them from time to time with the saphir cream.

I'm going to do another custom with edwin. Seriously at that price point-for a custom made in Singapore, i really can't complain when i look at the greats from corthay, berluti or imai.

Here you go, a pic of one of my pairs- taken this morning- the merlion ii double monks. RTW. So far so good on the leather aging.

seems like there is a lot of 'excess' leather behind the toe cap. Not sure you are not standing and bearing weight on the shoes.

Please enlighten.

As far as I know there is only one Goodyear welting machine locally with Ed. I enquire with a local cobbler. He say that he can hand stitch a new sole for my GY shoes. I supposed hand stitching is as good as machine welting or better if done properly? He will sew onto the welt piece right?

it's probably best to send it back to the maker for resoling if it's a good pair of shoes. handwelting is a difficult and time consuming process that requires years of training...
