Go to google and search for "leather shoes crease" and you can see the various kind of creases. It all depends on hard or soft leathers and how much effort one put in looking after the leather shoes. Frankly speaking, a pair of $300 leather shoes and if you can get 10 to 15 years out from it. You have done well.

One of my shoe had a very bad crease, and even signs of "fissures" looking, as if gonna crack soon.

How to remedy?

Ok, soft leather and sharp tip. The creases are not too bad. Have you got a pair of shoe tree. Put them in the shoes. Massage some shoe polishes over those creases. Do not flex or bend your toes which I think is impossible. It means, your feet has to behave like the shoe tree....hahhaahaha .
My advise, just enjoy your leather shoes if you feel comfy in them. Do not feel to stress out with creases. I have heaps of leather shoes and some of them still in their original boxes which I had not worn them at all. When I like the design, I will buy a couple to keep for future. What I am trying to say is to enjoy your life. Life is too short to worry about creases. By the way, asians' feet and Europeans feet can be much different. We have wider feet while Europeans have longer narrow feet. Shoes comes in EE or even EEE for wide feet.

You can use some soft wax, brush it in and then apply soft black shoe polish. It will minimize the creases.

Hi fellas,

After reading much about shoes in this thread, I decided to purchase my first pair of sewn shoes. Went to ed et al today, and got this edetal.sg | Outram (Antique Brown). Unfortunately, after I got home and tried on the shoes again, I realised I got them one size too small for my feet.

So, if anyone is interested, I will be willing to let this pair of shoes go for 250 (retails at 300!). The shoe had not been worn out of house before (you can verify from the look of the sole of anything), and if you are interested, you are welcomed to take a look at my place.

If you are in London you are pretty much spoiled for choice. Just look around, sure have full grain goodyear-welted shoes for less than $500. Loake, Cheaney, Barker and Grenson comes to mind...

Looks fine to me. The creases just look bad because of the plain toe design. But like someone mentioned, shoe trees and shoe cream help a bit.

Just save up and buy C&Js...

Going to London and buy Grenson or Loake is just a big waste. Might as well buy AEs (for 300 bucks) through Amazon.

More importantly, if you want to buy shoes online next time, C&J is always the standard reference point for comparison in fit.
