siao liao my pair of very old C&J stitching on the welt started to fray. and the vibram half sole not too long again changed... sianz repair cost not going to be cheap.

dunno issit due to cobbler to sand down the leather sole and damage the stitching when apply on the halfsole.

Can you share how to get Amazon free shipping?

Couldn't concentrate the whole day at work because I was anticipating this ...

Finally here ...

Also marks the end of my shoe-chasing journey for the next couple years (2014-5).

Amazon has a shipping option to Singapore where if you spend over USD 125 in a single order, you can get free shipping to Singapore. Available to most non-bulky items, ie. shoe trees.

Yup, just go down to Fiftyfive one day and take a look at their newly-released Kempt collection. Some really nice shoes there - I'm eyeing a pair of brown derbys myself. Price point of $180 is really reasonable as well, IMO.

Something like this, for example, will probably fit your bill.

Is anyone using Dasco Dubbin? I just bought a tub from Isetan recently and is using it to moisturise and waterproof the shoes.

Yeah, the Kempt collection is pretty decent. A tad more expensive than other common brands but looks pretty good. I bought a pair of the monks from the Kempt collection on Sat.

how much are the kempt ones? all $180?

Yes.

But knowing Edetal, 6 months later they will have 10% off.

How was the collection? Anyone have any first hand thoughts about Kempt? Curious about their blake construction.
