Hi, does anyone know where to send suede shoes for cleaning? Preferably around raffles place or tampines area

You can send it to bag maintenance shops. Le shine is one that comes to mind.

Tbh, DIY is best. Buy suede shampoo/cleaner and do it yourself.

That's true if you are comparing full retail price. But one shouldn't be buying AEs at full retail price!

AEs can always be found at a discount somewhere. I guess Amazon or eBay are the best places to find discounted AEs.

I think Ed Et Al's value proposition is that you get to try their shoes in person for that perfect fit. Otherwise it's highly marked up Goodyear welted shoes in Singapore for you, or buying online.

Note when archangle13 states amazon or eBay one may get factory 2nd quality.
eBay best to inquire some ppl shop on those great factory seconds deal and resell them.
Others maybe new but abused by ppl trying them out.
Buy on such sites best double check as u buying the reputation of seller not AE

I was thinking perhaps payment through PayPal should cover you partially for eBay purchases. Returns should be available for Amazon ones.

Well, I've gotten a couple of pairs of AE seconds from Ebay as well. The ones that are AE first are priced reasonably high for you to know right away if they're firsts or seconds/pre-worn shoes.

The conditions of these seconds (provided they're not abused by ebay sellers and are typically marked with W, punched holes or a hammer to mean the shoes have been re-crafted) were better than the dud "firsts" I got from Amazon, which is a bargain I guess for the price you're paying (USD120-200).

That said, competition will drive the price above the highly discounted seconds price that AE offers during Seconds sale and depending on your size, you might have to be very patient to get one at your preferred price range.

A decent AE seconds seller you can check out is hitch--n--post on ebay. Lots of odd sizes (i.e. A/B, or EEE & >12) goes for cheap due to lack of potential competition from owners with such feet sizes

This one for the remaining 30% hard to brush out stains...

Tacco Suede & Nubuck Eraser Cleaner

Both can be bought at the cobbler shop in Bishan J8.


Also, remember to brush and spray Suede protector every time before wear as a first line of defense so that water and dirt doesn't get the chance to go deep into the suede.

sound advice, for suede/nubuck leather have to use protector spray often or else cleaning is much more hassle.

i use a small crepe rubber block for suede cleaning and a pedicure brush to refresh the nap.
