Bata Ambassador series look respectable also, classic designs around $100 price point, wait for their sales to get a good deal.

These guys have really nice looking shoes. Definitely beats your Pedro, Hush Puppies, Bata, Rad Russell in the sub 200 price category. Like I said, these are sub-200 shoes and are not Goodyear welted. They have a more practical anti-slip rubber sole, but still have excellent design on them.

They retail for 159 each and were featured by Mediacorp artistes at the 50's countdown show. If it's good enough for Pierre Png, it's good enough for me.

The Ed-At-All and shoe fanatics will probably snub this brand, but I suspect their soles will last longer than that of the leather ones. These are made of buffalo leather as compared to the usual calf leather, though they definitely have customisation as well.

I bought an Hisao from them. For sizes offered outside of their range, you should contact them directly. The distributors are very knowledgable and meticulous to shoe detail.

First time trying to polish my own shoes

1 x base layer of Saphir Rejuventor, wait dry and brush off with shoe brush
3 x layers of Saphir dark brown creme, interval of 5 -10 minutes before buffing off and reapplying with chamois cloth. Average 1 hour on 1 pair of shoes.

Not the shine I am expecting or Saphir creme doesn't give off high shine at all.
Probably will get Saphir wax and see how......

Shoe creme will give you a nice satin sheen rather than glossy shine. yes you need wax polish for the nice cool shoe shine.

Also shoe experts out there. Need your opinion on choosing a pair of wing blucher

I am intending to add to my collection a pair of light brown/round toe/wing Blucher and after much research and based on my budget, have narrowed down to these pairs.

MEERMIN - Classic Collection > BLUCHERS > 101375 - TAN COUNTRY CALF
Meermin long wing blucher. I like the last and the design but not really on the leather used. Country tan calf. Back last year they have the same model but using cuero vegani calf which i like a lot but heck, it is not available anymore.
My question is can country calf be used for dress shoe for office? I know it is more for weekend casual wear with jean pairing.....

Next up is loake 1800 haig
Loake English shoes
I really like the colour of the leather and the lasts cause of width E. Only dislike i have is the slightly squarish toe and the lack of Adelaide broguing.

Of course, i can always aim for oxford wing broguing which bring to me the savoy from loake 1880 as well but I am not fond of the mahogany colour..prefer light brown...

Shoe creme will give you a nice satin sheen rather than glossy shine. yes you need wax polish for the nice cool shoe shine.

Advantages of Saphir:
Faster to achieve shine, higher shine

Advantages of Kiwi:
Cheaper and less drying on leather

I also like Starwax from Malaysia, much better shine than Kiwi.

I think 1st and foremost is considering which shoe will fit u better. If u have normal feet (not too wide, narrow, hi arch etc) and usually hv no prob fitting shoes bought off internet then congrats, u have gotten the biggest issue out of the way.

Loakes cost more than meermin classic and slightly less than meermin LM. Forum reviews seem to suggest u get much better value going for Meermin LM than Loake, assuming similar design available. So i would check out the LM range

Very confusing as many times both company shoe care products are sold side by side.

Tarrago is known for their protector spray. Use on your kids shoes to prevent stains. Parents should know how the little ones tend to try step in every possible puddle or muddy ground.

Sold to the same French company that owns Saphir.

TRG-the one, not used their products b4 can't comment on it.
Lucky here not easy to find them.
These days with that much snow I am not wearing dress shoes to work

Their nano protector spray is expensive, universal protector much cheaper.
Whatever they are known for ALMA isn't marketing them here.

I thought shoe cream was to protect the leather and wax for shine?
