Isn't robinsons offering free shipping anyway? No reason to get 2 pairs in one order then since it will also get hit by 7% upon entering Singapore.

Sizing is a gamble.

Thinking of ordering a pair first to try size. Perhaps the second at another time. Risk : discount invalid on 2nd purchase. Lol

Gents,

When you use shoe trees, do you usually lace up your shoes or just slip then in with laces loose?

slip them in with laces loose. but not that loose.. i think if its too loose the shoe tree might not serve its purpose to providing pressure?

with the double monks i'll buckle them, but that's more of a ocd thing.

Thanks for response. I've been slipping them in loose but I wonder if tying them up would be better.

Beta Tester: I clarify with John of Mason and Smith. He says bring to MBS or Kevin Seah also same price 30/50.

Apologies I had the wrong impression earlier.

Ed et al also charges 30/50 for similar services.

What does 30/50 means?

Ikea, daiso, tangs, all work fine for me. Longer better, no need to bend down too much when wearing shoes.

I carry a portable one to wear my shoes as I have to remove them to fetch kid from classes.

What are you guys talking about?

Any recommendations for a custom made shoe in Singapore?

Any recommendation for a place to make cordovan loafer in Singapore or any ideas where I can get Alden/AE/Vass loafers in Singapore?

Else than Ed Et Al (quality was good has gone down), Diamond walker I don't think they do good year welts.....

Alden/AE/Vass - no retail presence in Singapore

Cordovan shoes, I think there is an Indonesian maker with retail presence in Millenia Walk. Cannot remember the name

Another thing about Edetal.
Purchase only if you're not in a rush to get your hands on the shoe, or if you're a very patient person.
Their sales always over-promise(i.e. 4 weeks completion), but reality is more often than not 6 to 8 weeks. Unless they can somehow manage to ramp up their Vietnam supply, whilst still maintaining quality - else this is always going to be a problem, i.e. under deliver.

Google the president shoe care guide.

For those who purchase from robinson shoes, how long does the free delivery take to reach you?
