You must have a pretty common shoe size i guess. I tried looking for US 13 and nothing good was on ebay from any of the major brands.

There was a fake crockett & jones and a lot of very badly worn soles or creased leather though.

Not to mention the absolutely ridiculous shipping prices people wanted.

Oh yea and the used shoes that retail more than on sale brand new.

Anyone wanna bet they will be marked up to at least 50% the US/Europe price?

Carminas cost hkd4250 or about sgd700 at armoury. I would use that as a benchmark on the mark-up we can expect.

Then again, Septieme largeur costs eur250 but end up sgd600+ here.. So we never know.

If KS charge similarly as armoury, it almost seems like a bargain comparing w SL

I'm not from biz but from IT, i'll only be wearing the shoe on appropriate occasions like for work till Sept before Uni starts and presentations. There's other ways to get AE shoes instead of waiting for sales from Allen Edmonds. I gotten mine from ebay. This guy created a guide on buying AE on ebay.

A Ridiculously Comprehensive Guide to Buying Used Allen Edmonds Shoes on Ebay : malefashionadvice

eBay is one way, u got used or new?
Prices of new I don't recall it being better than sales.

It's easier for me to get in store

Well... I can load the shoebank site without issues.
Just use skype if you need to call up AE's shoebank and make the orders, must be prepared to hand over your CC details over the phone though. Would have recommended CGW for proxy forwarding but after getting fraud charges (same as many others on this forum) on my CCs from using their website, I would suggest look to borderlinx instead.

I think Ed et Al quality went up since the 3rd collection (in line with price hike).

Last much better.
Leather better.
Sole also better.

(I have 4 pairs from 2nd collection and 1 from 3rd collection, so can tell the difference)

How's the price difference? You bought during sample sale?

My latest Shenton II bought outside of sample sales also creased.
This is inherent in the leather they use.
I have seen better leather and i have seen worse at about the same price point.

Also, for those who are not interested in putting topy/vibram soles and prefers to have the raw feel instead of putting rubber over it :D

Been trying to find someone who would still do these for the past one year and found out last week that the cobbler in International Plaza has it for just $5 a pair.

Hot news! Saint Crispins, Carmina, John Lobb is coming to SG at Kevin Seah!

Don't know about pricing yet but more competition = good news for us! :s12:

It seems to be a partnership with Leatherfoot so it may mean that "export prices" to KS may already be marked up. I'm not familiar with the inner workings of the menswear/footwear industry so I could be wrong, but this is never a good sign for end-retail prices.

At that sort of pricepoints, better off go for a MTO than get RTW that passed thru multiple markups..

Was in Paris last week; regret not going to Carmina, although I bought two pairs of JM Westons to (more than) make up for it.

Seems like there's direct shipping from Leatherfoot to Singapore, so I assume price should be similar.
