You're probably just referring to the design, but that's navy blue. In any case, I think you're better off with blue than black for double monks.

Your reference pic looks navy blue. Imho, DMs are abit more 'fun' shoes so i would go for brown or even blue like ur pic. Very nice.

It's a little more versatile than black, especially if you're intending to wear it with coloured chinos. Also, it's blue, and blue is awesome.

I guess dark navy blue will be the most I can accept. I am not that adventurous with shoe colours since I intend to be wearing it to work.

Stylish leather shoes usually consist of hard soles (to match shoe shape), hence uncomfortable. Been searching for a pair which can balance between look and comfort, and eventually bought a pair of Clarks Forbes Step.

Black is always correct in the meeting room or any other formal occasions....lol.

I find a lot of ladies do look at the type of shoes we wear.
So it makes good sense to wear a good one.

This comes out every so often and my 2 cents is that i completely agree with the 1st part of this post. For those who prefer other colours that's perfectly fine but black is the norm in the corporate world universally and i dont see that changing.

personally for work purpose, i would get black first then venture into other colours.

U get what u pay for. While in this case it may seem like an incredible deal (it IS a good deal at least based on the items u will get), I would not read too much into the puffery language on quality and comfort.

And its def looks better than pedro to me.

Having tried them personally, I can attest to their quality. I have flat feet and am quite picky when it's comes to comfort. I retired my edetals the day I received my archules so I think that says a lot.

However that is only in terms of comfort. I'm not very experienced when it comes to leather but based on feel/creases, I would think it's miles above what pedro has to offer.

I think oxfords are a must-have in any corporate wardrobe. I would be very surprised if someone didn't have it.

Hence my suggestion of getting a pair of black oxfords instead of double monks. However I'm guessing that you probably already have a pair, and you just want to add another pair of black shoes to your rotation.


Tassel loafers with dark suits are a very old American tradition; but it's a look that I can never pull off
