Come to think about it, after conversion from pound to SGD, it still cost >$300. I'd rather top up a little bit and go for Meermin.

Must moderate your expectations for Meermin. No doubt their price is competitive but execution sometimes is questionable. You still get fairly good value at the price though

Is anyone familiar with the premium outlets in Shanghai/Suzhou? Am wondering if getting a pair of Loakes there is worth it. I also remember watching a documentary where there was this china-grown MTO shoe shop in Shanghai. Am going there for 2-3 weeks in dec.

One of my MTO arrive today. Can't say I am not excited....

Thankfully the sizing I have chosen turns out well which fits perfectly on my feet. Thanks to days of extensive research hehe. It feels..., entirely different from the rest of the RTW i have owned, as if the shoe is bespoke for me.

All area of the shoe feel just nice, not too loose, not too tight. Snug is not the word... With the infamous U last being notorious for clamping the toe area, my toes even has wiggling space. Vs olfe last, U last has a higher instep which rest on my feet perfectly... Maybe this is the first time I have gotten such a high range of shoe that I feel this way.

Conclusion :: **** I reckon that this is not the only pair

Carmina Reptile that I've purchased at Carmina shop in Paris during summer this year.

AS for AFPOS Blind brogue wholecut. Unfortunately this has to be returned as there is a defect with the right toe cap.

The picture was taken right before the first wearing. As soon as I took the first few steps, my mirror polish on the right toe cap cracked. I initially blamed it on myself for applying that many layers of wax ( All my shoes are polished to a mirror shine. ) and thought that must be the reason the mirror surface cracked. Left toe is shining without any cracks.

However, even after removing and redoing my shine using a lesser amount of wax, the issue still persists. I figured that the toe stiffener isn't performing 100% ideal, thus causing the upper on the middle of the toe to crease.

The shades are pretty close, you might not get much of a difference. IMO they go rather well.

LLYR Thomas single monks (Swagger Exclusive)

My first pair of LLYR shoes. New to this forum and want to share my swagger exclusive in handstained antique brown.

I was told by Sherwin that it is goodyear welting and the inner lining is dark purple (which probably is better than red lining in case it discolours socks).
Then it was completed with Tian Tian chicken rice at the Maxwell food centre next door
