For Loakes you can try pediwear and Robinson s shoes
if you intend to get several pairs of loakes then pediwear would make a pretty good choice as you get 10% off your subsequent pairs after you buy your first pair

You seem to be buying many pairs of shoes. Do you spread your purchases over a period of time? Or do you buy time all within a few days/weeks?

I have many pairs of brown leather shoes. I am looking at buying more black leather shoes though. However whenever I always end up buying brown.

Is there a reason why you like Carminas? You have an Edward Green. Don't you feel the quality is better than Carmina?

As for Markowski, there are no physical stores/rep here but you can get them online. There's a bit of Septíème Largeur feeling here. Hehe.

Unfortunately though, I doubt financial wealth is a common denominator in our beloved island state, especially considering our miserable GINI coefficient coupled with the growing debt liabilities of the younger generation. After all, living within one's means happens to be a respectable virtue of it's own too yes?

P.S And I'm assuming you mean true bespoke with all it's connotations of a product par excellence. A personalised last, top notch materials and artisanal standards of quality (min 6 SPI counts, handlasting, hand carved holdfast etc). IMO, there are far too many purveyors in our little Island state masquerading their MTO service as Bespoke

i must admit I've been buying rather excessively. I bought my first pair in mid September and have bought a further 20 odd pairs since.
By far, the Edward greens are definitely noticeably better than Carminas. You do get what you pay for. Buttery soft, supple leather, great finishing and they feel absolutely great on the feet. But i don't think i can be buying 20 pairs of Edward Green like that just because they are so expensive.
Carminas are excellent value for money. They've delivered again and again. Minor flaws only in some aspects, but at that price point, really a good buy

Perhaps, but not the case for everyone. Case in point, i have regressed to wearing my AEs all the time after getting sick of babying the supposedly higher quality Vass shoes.

I read that comment negatively as well in the absence of further elaboration to what it really meant, and the feeling that rubbed off me was well-captured by the reply which provided lots of analogies.

IMHO, bespoke should be something that u do in-person. Nothing less. It just does not seem right to me to have a 'bespoken' shoe made from self-measurements and sending pictures of one's feet to a shoemaker in Europe/Japan, no matter how detailed and engaging the remote contact may be. And by my self-definition, the choices in Singapore for bespoke shoes are woefully limited.

Perhaps 3D printing technology may address this someday?

But one hardly goes bespoke straight away eh (the filthy rich aside ). Moreover when going Bespoke, it is often with a maker whose last style they are enamoured with, is confident of their craftsmanship and whom they have a relationship or are comfortable dealing with. Same with tailors etc.

And all this tends to come only with prior purchases of varied RTWs or MTOs eh haha.

I wonder if a mould of an individual's feet is prepared for and shipped over for comparison when a personalised last is made overseas. Ya boy, 3D scanning and printing would indeed make this so much easier (& cheaper)!
