i need a recommendation for a dark brown penny loafer, budget around $250, which brand is around this price? Though i'm not too keen on brands such as pedro, don't think their quality is that great.

great example of the style i'm looking for is some simple like AE's : Cavanaugh - Pinch Penny Slip-on Loafer Men's Dress Shoes by Allen Edmonds
But of cos AE is above my budget

Would be great is i can try on the shoe before buying.

It seems pretty expensive buying Saphir products alone from meermin given that their minimum shipping cost comes in at 35 euros. And unless you're buying a crapload of waxes and creams to bring down average cost per cream / wax, it would probably make even buying from local retailers cheaper. There are other online retailers who probably offer better shipping rates for small items like creams / waxes.

It would probably make more sense if you are adding on Saphir products to a pair of shoes which you are already going to buy, in which case there is no additional shipping charge incurred on the Saphir products

Need some help with Meermin sizing. I'm usually a US10D in sneakers (New Balance etc) and a UK 8.5 in Clarks DB. Any idea what size i should go for in the Hiro last?

Recommended UK 8.5 by the Meermin guy but I hope for some real advice here.

It's very difficult to compare sneaker sizes with dress shoe sizes. Try sending "the Meermin guy" an outline of your feet in A4 size. That might help them to narrow down your size but there really isn't a hard and fast method with the exception of trying the shoes out yourself. Another option would be to look for someone who's a size 8.5 on Hiro and see if you can try his shoes. Honestly speaking most of us found our sizes through trial and error - the first plunge is always the hardest to take but that's part and parcel of shopping online.

Yes, I'm aware of the shipping costs and that some local retailers sell Saphir products too, albeit rather marked-up prices. Oh, I forgot to mention that the purchase order includes a pair of shoes & matching belts too(a friend of mine), on top of my own order(a few bottles of cream & wax polishes). Appreciate your advice though!

There's definitely an element of luck involved.
That being said Xeniel, i happen to be an 8.5 in most lasts, including hiro. I'm happy to let you try on my shoes. If you are eyeing carminas, i also do have a few pairs in 8.5 you may want to try on

Wow. Your "friend" is buying a pair of shoes and then expects you to share shipping costs on a few creams / waxes on which no additional shipping charges are going to levied in the first place?
Normal behaviour would be to invite friends to hop on whatever creams they wanted with no mention of sharing shipping. I get what you're directing to. I guess the "shipping costs" he was referring relates to the "GST incurred" as the shoes(and belts too) will amount totalling $400 SGD and above. And as you mentioned, 7% of the price of the creme / waxes.
