hi, i just gotten a loake temple, first time on leather soles, tried to save some money and bought a stick on anti slip for the front sole. only to realise the way i walk, the tip wears out quite abit.

i went to paragon and got quoted $50 for just the front sole vibram, was really expensive to me for something that wears out.

some questions here that i couldn't find the answers from the past threads

1) do i need to do rubber sole for the heel also (the shoe comes with 1/2 leather 1/2 rubber heel)

2) where's a good place to do vibrate front sole? thats not like that expensive?

3) anywhere that does the metal toe thing?

1) Personally, for the front soles, I would wear the new shoes a few times before sending it for topy/vibram so it adheres better. Similarly for the heels, I would wear those until the rubber shows some signs of deterioration (like exposing the shoe's inner surface) before sending those for topy/vibram. This is subjective, of course.

2) Kips and Kwik @ Junction 8, Bishan. Prices are reasonable. The gent is good-mannered and selfless in sharing tips.

3) Usually my MTO shoes come with the steel toe taps, so I have no experiences purchasing that separately as an accessory.

Hope this helps.

i just recently ordered a flyer II at size 37 as 38 gave me a bad heel slip.
Somerset II's last was totally too long in length for my feet, i reckon i would need 36

i do wear a meermin hiro last double monk at uk 5.5, its not the very snug fit as i like to wear thicker socks, which the fit was just nice with typical sports socks.
i tried carmina uetam last at KS they have a pair of string loafers, uk 5.5 was just nice as well.
i've quite high instep so it appears an elephant stuffing into that slim last.

i took chance to order a loake temple at UK 5 and the last suited my feet and it was a snug feet. can go w/o socks. i suppose leather shoes all will stretch.

hope it helps!

I have been looking around (numerous shoe repair stores) for a brown dye to recolor my suede shoes however was not successful in finding one in that color. Can anyone care to share places where I can get some brown shoe dye?

Ah, seems like i found a similar feet size bro. I wear 37 for Edetal's Outram and double monks.

Always wanted to know if meermin's UK5.5 can fit.. so sounds like it's not a snug aka good fit?
