Decided to share this at the suggestion of a friend, who shares the same passion in shoes, and perhaps women.
All the following is meant to be in jest and good fun. Nothing personal, just a whimsical read to pass some time. Also not to offend anyone who may own a certain brand of shoes. This is just a personal opinion.
Since I started getting into shoes, I've found certain parallels between shoes and women.
Meermins, and the like, represent your first girlfriend. Something new and interesting at first. A good introduction to what it's like being with girls. After some time, you suddenly realise her many flaws. You grow tired of her when you realise there's so much better out there, and also when you realise almost everyone else has had a piece of her.
Carmina / Crocketts / Vass represents the next level of commitment. The wife material woman. You will want to settle down with her. She is beautiful but not absolutely stunning. You accept her small imperfections because you know a long, lasting and meaningful relationship is possible. You love and cherish her and do not tire easily of repeated sex with the same woman; this woman.
EG / Gaziano and the like represent the only occasionally attainable. The uber expensive hooker. The once in a lifetime drop dead gorgeous fling that happens so rarely. Or that woman who is so rare that she is almost non - existent in certain dimensions. Perfect in every way, absolute head turner, sexy as hell, curves in all the right places, intelligent, great in bed, and even possibly good with your mum. There is only one catch, you most likely cannot afford her, she is too expensive a hobby to maintain.
Speaking of which, my friend did also remind me. Should you spend too much money on expensive hookers, you must sometimes feel like leaving your wife. Thus ending up in a mountain of debt.
