Just stuff the shoe with newspaper and change several times to absorb the moisture abd let nature run its course, do not attempt to hasten the process by sunning it or using a hairdryer on high.

Once it is reasonably dry, brush the shoe and apply pressure to the affected area with the back of a metal spoon, some people use deer bone, others using a natural shoe horn in a rocking motion. Hope for the best

It is possible that that part of the shoe is clicked from a part of the hide that is closer the belly area where fat wrinkles are more prominent, it may or may not go away as the moisture especially between the outer leather and the lining evaporates. Meermin uses more parts of the hide than most other shoemakers and some areas may not have the most desirable leather. Other shoemakers also tend to utilize lesser leathers on the side and back quarters, it's quite common in the industry.

Wait and see how it goes and polish the shoe when dry, the wax may provide some form of water repellant properties in future, during light showers, not a heavy downpour.

Hi all,

I have a slighter high arch and haven't been able to find a comfortable pair of business shoe so far. Was thinking of maybe MTO ed et al or diamond walker shoe with around budget of 500.

Anything that I should take note of during the selection process? Any recommendations on what I should choose?

Get an allen edmonds, they have a variety of wide sizes and many lasts for people with different needs.
