In Singapore, I think only MHA & MOD will look at your COS for signing on. The rest really don't bother about it.

In fact, what you do in NS really does not matter cause industry do not recognized your experience. Only those companies who have contract with MHA & MOD requested some of the contractors to be vocational trained in order to perform their job.

How sure are you that industry do not recognise your experience? So those ppl who quit as a major will join a company as a fresh grad?

SAF always provide career transition for senior officers to airborne in GLCs & those who hold MAJ rank will get at least a Manager post. Work in GLCs before & saw these airborne senior officers land into management position.

Why industry do not recognized SAF qualification & experience? Cause most of SAF qualification is not a licence that is required in the industry. SAF practice & Industry practice are different & servicemen know nothing about Industry requirement.

Really? How sure are you that all Majors and above get such treatment? And how sure are you that captains start from fresh grad?

Maybe if you go BLOC and ALOC for Officers, CQ/RQ for WOSE ba. Guess this is the most relevant ones. Hahahaha...

The only one I know sure get recognized is MP/RP/Security Trooper course if you intend to work in the private security industry.

If I am not wrong, RP not recognized by Security Industry & only MP & Security Trooper were recognized.

Nope, Supply & Transport Supervisor Course, LOCC, LSSLC, JLOC, ULOC, ALOC & etc are not recognized by Logistics Industry. The courses trained servicemen to become CSS commander & deal with Logistics base on SAF standard. Nothing really related to the Logistics Industry.

Since when I say captains start from fresh grad?
you didn't, but i am asking you since you said, "In fact, what you do in NS really does not matter cause industry do not recognized your experience. Only those companies who have contract with MHA & MOD requested some of the contractors to be vocational trained in order to perform their job."

so by saying that, which is a very sweeping statement, you are trying to say that since the industry do not recognise their experience, that means they have to start as a fresh grad no? since only fresh grad start without experience.

The answer is yes for those who have completed their NSF or quit their career from SAF. For example, naval officer can operate RSN ship but when they quit, they do not have the licence (CoC Class 3) to operate ship in private sector.

This is a sweeping question from you. We have debate similar Q&As in other post threads. Please refer to those old threads.

For starters move from one place to another company level then first parade in 5 secs. Too slow knock it down. Move in file by an inch also kana. Send arms muzzle below eye level kana, take out water bottle later kana. Got a lot more but the worse one was kana run back and forth from basketball Court to coy line in platoon or company level + knock it down + Hentak kaki over and over again for 1 hour during first fall in. Cause of that almost missed breakfast, we had to Dari kiri capat lari to cook house. Then come back no time rest straight to training. Everyone was half dead by then

Haven't even include stand by bed. We average have 5 to 8 stand by bed or area in a week. The punishment? Knock it down? No.... Hold push up position outside while they check every room. Took almost 20 mins. And that's after route March and pt earlier on the day.

Never kena push up crawl, flip prata (push up then change crunches), change parade, standby universe?

Punishments during force prep are the worst. Just because 1 idiot lost/lazy bring down one item/test the eyesight of SGTs, whole company kenna flip prata and hold it there while mozzies have buffet.

:(

this is not even a language problem already. You don't know that having a question mark means it's a question not a statement?

I have SO licence too which is the reason why I know about the new & old changes. If I remember clearly, RP is no but MP is yes for last time. Now no more RP & change to ST. The requirement for ST is:

*Former regular uniformed commissioned officer or non-commissioned officer from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) whom have completed and passed the
Installation Protection Security Course (IPSC) conducted by SAF will be exempted for both WSQ units.
