Of course, on hindsight, a stronger or more popular candidate at Jalan Kayu or a stronger or more popular team at Tampines might yield a different result

Considering those mosquito parties got trashed by PAP until orh bak kak due to the trade/ tariff war and distrust of mosquito parties, WP holds its weight and popularity well with only 0.4% drop in vote share compared to mosquito party 8% drop
