Thanks Haman for the details.
How much you pay per adult and child?

============================

Below are the wholesale nett prices for the CX DBS credit card promotion.
Currently, "O" class HKG-SIN flight is full. Must use the 'Q" Class level

Both ways on 'O' class
Adult : S$260 + S$126 (both ways taxes/fuel) = S$386 per person
Child : S$208 + S$106 (both ways taxes/fuel) = S$314 per person

Both ways on "Q" class
Adult : S$300 + S$126 (both ways taxes/fuel) = S$426 per person
Child : S$240 + S$106 (both ways taxes/fuel) = S$346 per person

=====================================

Most of the Chinatown travel agency are selling additional S$20 to S$30 (service fee) more per person.

Look-out for those travel agency that can issue the CX tickets themselves (not 3rd party). There are many travel agency in Chinatown that can issue CX tickets.

You can save more on the 2-3% credit card charge and the service fee.
Usually for 4 paxs, can negotiate S$20 to S$25 per person.

bro, thanks for the info.

From the price (S$1591), they earn about S$80 for 4 paxs (average S$20 per pax) after deducting all the credit card merchant fee and agent service fee.

Not worth dealing. Any agent can do the job and get the tickets immediately without any worries and anxiety waiting for their tickets.

Jetaxxxx and Zuxx prices are always on the higher side.

Anyone going to Hongkong or China, go to any travel agent in Chinatown.
Most of them mark-up only S$20 (too competitive in that area).

Can get tickets immediately even at 9pm to 10pm.

But if I am not wrong the booking class from cheaptikets shold be B or Y class which is milege accruable. The price is almost half price of the normal V class which is the lowest fare to earn mileage.

No idea why they can sell it dirt cheap

very unlikely B or Y Class. they are just like any other travel agency.

CX booking codes runs as follows (from cheap to expensive) ; N,V,L,M,K,H,B
N : is the lowest economy class (2-to-go)
B : is the highest economy class (FIT)

Well you can try yourself. The fare code is Bxxxx or Yxxx.

I like this site because it displays the booking class unlike other site

these are called the Fare basis code.
Every ticket issued will have a fare basis code printed on the e-ticket.

Example : BEE1M5.
Booking class is on "Q" class

Hi, where to see the fare code? I have already got the E tickets number. Is it the ID or airline confirmation code?

There are 3 main Airlines systems in this industry.
1) Abacus
2) Amadues (SQ had recently changed to this system in July 2012)
3) Galieo (not familiar with this system. e-tickets format really sucks. so unfriendly compare to the other two systems).

Can you go thru your e-ticket, did you see any of the above 3 system?

If it is
A) ABACUS system, the fare basis is usually on the far right side
B) AMADEUS system, the fare basis is somewhere in the centre. Just beside the departure timing

dont bother about the fare basis code. it is usually use for pricing out the fare notes/calculation and for Airlines usage.

the most important factor is the prices. not fare basis code.

Just a comment on cheaptickets.sg, I've booked via them for Cathay Pacific's return tix to HK back in June, applied discount code with $40 discount with no problems at all. I was in shock when I read through some comments found online and prayed that they were a scam. Luckily, e-ticket was issued to me within 2 days

I then recommended the website in Aug to my colleague who bought tickets with his frens and also managed to get the $40 discount, and he had no problems when he called up their hotline to enquire about changing of the flights (although the cust serv mentioned that he had to pay $300+ to change his flights because the tix he bought was discounted airfare by Cathay, but that was kinda expected)

Seems like they've been improving lately, booked tix for my fren for SQ tix to Taipei, and their system was able to detect my DBS card number and applied a $40 discount immediately (w/o me clicking on "Confirm"). Managed to get the tix $30 cheaper than SQ's website (approx 5% cheaper). The e-ticket was also issued within 1h, but the reference code for SQ was wrongly issued (e-ticket number was correct)

I think it's really a heng suay thing, but I'm satisfied with cheaptickets.sg

hi. it seems that complaints were due to people changing dates/cancel etc. if i were to book a flight without changing any single detail, is it guaranteed that i will get the tickets 100%? e.g at time of payment, the price is $40 cheaper than direct booking.

i used cheaptickets to book tickets to bangkok.

no problem leh. only that it took quite a while (about 10 hrs) for them to send me the etickets to my email, although they claimed that it should take only 1 hr.

Wow... I recently booked, went and came back from Shanghai using Cheaptickets.sg... Heng, nothing went wrong...

Seeing the amount of problems posted here... I will probably pay a little bit more for assurance.

But frankly their tix seemed to be the cheapest compared to Zuji, expedia, etc...

Anyone experienced any problems lately with Cheapticket?

cheapticket.sg

Hello, I would like to relate that my wife recently tried to buy a budget airline ticket thru cheapticket.sg and experienced exact the same problem as TS. She is now trying to get her credit card company to cancel the transaction, and have cheapticket.sg acknowledge the cancellation. She is still chasing them, and waiting, since last Friday....

Good luck to anyone who wants to book their ticket thru this website. Better to buy direct from the budget airlines (which she did eventually).

Aiyoh! I shd hv read this b4 booking with them. Now my Fren n I oso got BIG headache with them. My situation was like this...

I recently had my bad encounter with this travel website. I made an online booking at 7ish in d evening n got a verification email at 9ish. I noticed errors on my booking, so I called the customer svc line to make changes but the office was closed for d day. When I called early the next morning, the so-called supervisor (an Indian from India, coz I had serious problem trying to understand him), Robert told me that it can't be changed unless I pay up $325 ($200 to Cathay Pacific & $125 to his office). He added that if I had sent an email the nite before they could stop the booking n no charge but becoz I called only that morning, they can't make the changes at no charge. How wld I know that emails work better than their phone lines! The office was closed, I was wondering wld ghosts be stopping my booking in the middle of the nite? Wat 24/7... When I called at 9ish it says that their office is closed!

Furthermore I really had doubts that this Robert is customer service trained. He kept telling me and I quote, 'it's your fault' and at numerous times cut into my sentences without listening me out 1st... And when I asked to speak to his manager regarding his poor attitude, he actually said 'my manager won't speak to you, I'm alrdy a supervisor'.

This bad encounter was all because this website do not use a 24-hr time display and got me all confused when they indicated 6:25 for 1825hrs. And I had thought that it meant 6.25am in 24-hr format like all airline or online travel websites do. So I ended up making a booking for the wrong timing.

I offered to pay the portion of penalty that the airline charges which they have no ctrl over but request for them to help waive their admin fee. It was flatly refused. No negotiations...

This is my 1st time buying frm then and will also b my LAST time! Bad Service!
