Ya, the only downside for XBOX in Asia is non crossplatform online gaming, because less users in Asia. But non FPS is still ok.Finally got my XSX yesterday. All good, just learning some interesting quirks of the platform vs PS. Like I didn't know the audio won't automatically mute speakers when plug in headset into the controller. And game recording is limited unless using external HDD. Also for Battlefield, very little to no Asia servers as compared to PS.
How did you know it's in stock? Do you refresh the page all the time?
What's your strategy to get around the limited storage? Or currently it's quite enough for you to game.No regret getting xss, cheap good more than enough for most gamers
I have 3 original controllers I've been using since January/February. No issues with any of them so far. I think you should go ahead and report it.Anyone having issue with the controller unresponsive A and Y button? got the series s from Microsoft few days ago but the controller A and Y buttons seem to loss input occasionally when I press and hold the button. Did a google search and realize it seems to be a design issue and happen to all xbox controllers. Still thinking whether to request an exchange.
you can get from shopee (shopitree) - but only as a bundle with either a controller or 3-month xbox game passAny other options to get the Xbox X/S, besides Microsoft website? It's still OOS.
What I've read so far was the following points for getting Series S:I’m sure it has been discussed at length here but can someone point me to where I can read some comparisons/discussions of whether series S or series X is better?
I read articles online too - but very Ang moh view so hoping to get some views from fellow members here too!
The lazada shop has stock for XSS now. Challenger seems to have XSS stock also.Any other options to get the Xbox X/S, besides Microsoft website? It's still OOS.
Thanks! Great insights. What I've read so far was the following points for getting Series S:
- Not going for or bother with 4K
- All in on digital gaming (as Series S has no CD slot)
- budget is king
- Probably more for gameplay rather than detailed graphics
What I also hear is that there's (almost) always this combo:
PC + Playstation 5 + XBox Series S.
Meaning Series S is good enough to cover the remaining ground not done by PC or Playstation 5.
Of course love to hear the comments from people here as well who have expressed no regrets whatsoever in getting Series S compared to Series X.
I guess for those who've invested in Xbox in the past have many many CDs. They can still use the CD on Series X. But there's no way to use them for S.Thanks! Great insights.
What’s the real downside in not having a CD slot? Is it because it directly translates into needing more storage to play the same amount of games? Presumably the days of going to to JB to get game supplies are gone right (ie higher security now), so I’ll be stuck mostly with digital downloads it seems
That's also true. But $240 is still a good amount to spend. I guess the storage limitation can also be worked out by only installing games that you really want to play. Then again, I probably will only play 2-3 games at a time.imho, the $240 difference is well worth for the double disk space + processing power. The 1 TB expansion card is already $300+.
Oh that makes sense!! Just went to a gaming store, and also realised those that buy S won’t be able to benefit from second hand disc games purchase / trades too.I guess for those who've invested in Xbox in the past have many many CDs. They can still use the CD on Series X. But there's no way to use them for S.
