Even Huawei at its peak won't do that..

Thought can get at around 1.3-1.4

I was damn tempted by the S23Ultra as well, but i bought that for my wife as she has been using Samsung for a long time.
And honestly, the S22u/S23u are pretty decent in recent years.

But what won me over for the Xiaomi is the super fast charging, I game sometimes and the super fast charging will really help.

Though i do think that the S23u has won in terms of photography and batt life vs the XM13p

Nay i just think Xiaomi just like to treat us as roberts like those Europeans。it's only 5799/6299 yuan in China. We have free trade with them so after 8% gst its still quite ridiculous.
Malaysia with higher tax rate is actually selling cheaper.

tbh most android phone suffer this, Samsung s22u is also half to 2/3 the price, s21u is like almost 1/3 the original price. Even apple resale price isn't as good as it was 5years ago, its still a little better than android tho.

Agree. But 20% increase is just too much. Its selling point for me is cheap flagship. Now its just an inferior flagship when compare to others.

Becos mi11pro can get china set for cheap, no point to offer you higher price. You can get a refurb 11pro that look almost as good as new for slightly more $400 from taobao, and also 11 series is well known problematic with wifi chip damage. The "inflated" SG price also doesn't help. If one is able to get somewhere closer to China price, xiaomi resales value is still ok.

TB is still selling refurb Mi10u at about $400, still a very good phone for most by today standard.
