suggest to do some research, missing features include
- no esim
- no android auto
- no widevine l1 [means apps like netflix cannot play in full HD]
- no google maps timeline
- no google nearby share
All can accept but the widevine bky sia. Basic like this also cannot do cmi imo. Pay so much cannot even watch video in fhd.

widevine is definitely L1 on XM14 series.

Most of the time if the model has global release, guaranteed to have Widevine L1 supported by the streaming platforms no matter it's china set or global set. If no global release, some have L1 also no use still unable to stream full HD as it's not recognized by the streaming platforms.

Hi! Everyone. I saw some china sets on sale in shopee. They claim to be able to install play store. Anybody using china sets and do the playstores they install provide app updates?

Playstore was never a problem in China set unless you talking about Huawei.
My concern is the playstore they install for us, will they receive apps updates simultaneously with local sets? If the playstore does not receive updates then eventually the installed apps will become unusable.

Why would playstore not receive update? Playstore is playstore.. there isn't a Chinese or global playstore...

Android auto, and glitchy notification. Everything else work just like global.
any idea if the glitchy notifications can be fixed if we get China sets? I'm on one now and even those who ported to EU ROM has glitchy notifications.

I'm using Xiaomi 14 Global set. Yes, the notifications sometimes get glitchy. You will likely notice when you hardly get any notifications during the day from your frequently used apps like Whatsapp etc. But rebooting the phone usually solve the issue.

Ah. So it's not an issue of SG or CN set.. All xiaomi phones have this issue 😔

Do yall know if OPPO and vivo flagships have similar issues? It's driving me crazy and I will most likely jump ship soon..
