Today, the Xiaomi 17T was discovered in Singapore's IMDA database

IMDA has revealed that it supports wireless charging, unlike its predecessor from last year. It also unsurprisingly has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC on board.

According to a previous rumor, the Xiaomi 17T will have the exact same cameras as the 15T: a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie snapper. The same source claims the 17T will have a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging. The 17T is rumored to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 SoC.

Interestingly, the Poco F8 Pro faces some homegrown competition from the vanilla Xiaomi 15T. However, the Poco edges out with longer battery life, faster chipset and better main and telephoto cameras. The 15T's only advantage is its ultrawide camera, although the difference is negligible.

If it's keeping 15T camera then really cmi, GSMArena liked F8 Pro camera more than similarly priced 15T

15T/17T camera abit pushing it liao, need to go back to 13T 1/1.28" and/or the 60mm 2.6x telephoto Xiaomi have so many of

And summore D8500 is essentially the same as D8400

Or go bolder and shake thing up all together and try to make a no telephoto 50mp+50mp main ultrawide since Xiaomi never tried that angle before

Seems like not much upgrade from 15T Pro to 17T Pro. Only faster chip set and battery.

15T to 17T seems more upgrade. Faster chip set, battery, better camera. But smaller screen this time.

Im changing out from Samsung and want to get xiaomi. But should i get 17 or wait for 17t?

Main use is the daily use, video watch and sometimes gaming. Not thise intense kind of gaming kind.

17 is only 6.3 inch screen but got a better cpu.. since U watch video maybe get the bigger screen 17T which most probably gonna be cheaper too.. but given the ram and storage price now, can't really predict.

Xiaomi 17T better on a Global rom or Xiaomi 17 Max on a China rom?

I can get the 17 Max for RMB4299 which is MYR2505.

I know on paper, the specs for the 17 Max is better.

Should I upgrade from 14T to 17T~? One thing about 14T is the GPS is not accurate, especially waiting at the junction, it would point wrongly~ Google timeline also have missing routes~

From the looks of it, 17T will be quite expensive... Might be a better buy for 15T. But lets wait for the official launch first.

And to be honest, Xiaomi phones are in a rather awkward situation currently I feel.

Personally under Xiaomi branding, probably only the 17 Ultra will have people getting because of the camera. The rest of the Xiaomi & Redmi series are like neither here nor there.

You can get the more value for money Poco series in most cases. Like for example, you can get poco F8 ultra which is probably cheaper than the 17T series. Performance wise, poco F8 ultra is probably better. And I don't think the camera for the 17T series will be very good to be honest.
