What's the difference between gen3 and gen5. Seller send me gen5 though I ordered gen3 and I thought I was lucky because it runs on Bluetooth remote control. But I realise the box internal storage isn't much.

How do I clear the app cache?

In Shafa app, go to myapps, press menu button, choose setting. Viola! You will see Android app setting page and clear cache button.

although prefer to have sd card for expansion but now is ok to running with 5g rom, not sure will be enough for future

1g ram dun know will bottleneck anytime
try to load with 1080p video(external file), no issues for now


btw the gen with sd card slot, can treat it as internal memory ?
as i know android a lot of app can put in sd card
not sure tv box app have the restriction or not

5th gen can done in wireless ac if not wrong, old hdmi port will work or even rca also can

Probably better invest in a Logitech k400 keyboard.
Works well with the mi box.

Hi did it prompt the PIN number when pairing with mi box?
Currently I cannot pair with samsung Bluetooth keyboard, because no way to key in pin number inside mi box.

My playstore never work before since i bought it last year, but youtube is ok, but recently youtube stopped working. I tried all kind of method also cannot get it work, finally factory reset, reinstall the latest youtube, the app able to load, but when click on video, connection error.

Any advise?

Xiaomi box

I have been using Xiaomi box for some times. 2G RAM version. I do not recommend buying it because

1)It came with a lot of pre-installed apps which u cannot delete/remove
2)Because of these pre-installed apps which i don't use, it took up memory which allow installation of only a few of my own apps. Everytime got prompt to delete other apps to allow new one to be installed
3)It does not allow certain apps like 快手看片 to be installed anymore with its latest update.
4)The latest update make the remote stupid, holding the direction keys does not make it move at a go, need to keep pressing and releasing it to move any direction
5)It does not come with google playstore so very troublesome, better get one with google playstore

Someone is here trying to sell her box... AND of cos its not a Xiaomi Box...

1 of the box she try to sell is a box that is as cheap as US$20(approx S$30). And when she buy in BULK, maybe even less than that...

I also download shafa market and use the app 云视听 for movie/drama watch, the download speed only 100-200k.

What are your guys experience? Is this my ISP issue or china service limitation?

if you can get to the main menu, go to system - video - setting level and change it to expert.

next click on the acceleration on the same page, disable all hardware acceleration options.

If it works after disabling the options, go back and try to turn on one at a time and test. Take note of the option that gives problem.

or just leave all the h/w option off, may affect the performance a bit, but should not be noticable.
