I bought a Minix Neo U1 recently this year from China. The seller sent an EU power adaptor instead of a UK one. He rectified this by sending me the correct UK adaptor by FedEx at no cost and even included a pair of ear phones.

The Mibox 3 enhanced uses a 12 volt power adaptor but I don't see any relevance at all in this fact as to whether the seller should send me the correct adaptor or not.

Oh ok.....just becoz 1 seller did it for you before doesnt mean every other seller is obligated to do the same. Like i said, all these additional costs will either be borne by seller(which majority wont) or by buyer. Would you rather pay more just to get the right adapter or how hard is it to buy a $1.50 2-to-3 pin converter by yourself? Also, as mentioned, this new xiaomi box does not use the common 5v/2a adapter with 5.5x2.5 tip that majority of other tv box uses. If you think it doesnt matter, how about you go try using the adapter from your Neo U1 and see if it works on the xiaomi box. Case in point, uncommon adapter = no seller will want to risk sending you anything other than the original xiaomi adapter.

Guys, wonder whether it is possible for IPhone to cast onto Xiaomi box using the miracast function? I tried the old version and it cannot work.

I am using the box with the included xiaomi adapter and a 2 to 3 pin converter. Having no issues with it so i dont quite know what is the fuss with insisting on a uk adapter. None of the sellers for this box on qoo10 are offering the option to change the included adapter to a spring sg approved adapter. When i collected the box from the SLS shop, i actually did check with the store person whether they selling any 3 pin adapter but the person said better to just stick with the original xiaomi adapter. Dont care 2 pin or 3 pin. Just enjoy your purchase, which i am doing so considering i paid only $88 for the box, which is close to what its selling for in china itself.

EDIT: I bought my box from qoo10 seller Zhiming Global. Listed price $99. Used 1k qpoints to offset $10. Shopback cashback was $1, not $2 that i stated to the guy who dropped me a pm just now.

Anyone experiencing slow speeds watching dramas? I can't even start playing any show. However movies and other shows work fine. Used VST and tested other apps too, same results. MXQ connected via ethernet gives these problems but xiaomi box gen3 connected via WiFi works ok!

I am confused:s22:......1st you say you cant play any show.....then you proceed to say other shows work fine. And then you say VST and other apps same result(what result?????). And then you say mxq give problems but xiaomi box works ok. So is the problem with your xiaomi box or what? Since this is xiaomi box thread afterall. If the problem is with your mxq, then this is not the place to ask. And after all you said, its still none the clearer whether the problem is with the box, with the apps or whether just certain shows cant be played. English too "powderful"........no understand......

Apologies. Problem is with Mxq, however I do have a xiaomi box gen3, want to ask if anyone else has a problem on their xiaomi box with steaming dramas off Chinese apps, including VST and others. So as to exclude, if possible, problem with the source rather than the box.

On the xiaomi box dramas work fine, however on mxq, same app same dramas are too slow to even start playing. However I did notice that I can't select other sources on the mxq as compared to the xiaomi where pressing the menu button gives u a menu to select source, eg change source from pptv to youku

English review for the xiaomi gen 6 white tv box.
http://www.cnx-software.com/2016/04/18/xiaomi-mi-box-3-enhanced-review/
Conclusion
Xiaomi Mi Box 3 Enhanced has an amazing performance with regards to WiFi, internal storage, CPU and GPU performance thanks to Mediatek MT8693 Cortex A72 processor, and other selected components. I could feel performance is clearly above the rest of Android TV boxes I tested, and for $80, you truly get an amazing performance per dollar. The main downside however, is that it has been design for the Chinese market, so you have some modding to do to get a more pleasurable experience, some of which I did not manage such as installing the Google Play Store and changing the default Launcher. Video playback with Kodi is not too bad, but not quite matching the performance of MINIX NEO U1 for example, and audio pass-through is limited to 5.1 channels. So it may not be the best as a media player, but it could be very good as an Android mini PC once/if a community firmware is released.

PROS
Stable and ultra fast firmware

Likely the fastest Android TV box that you can buy for less than $80 thanks to Mediatek MT8693 2x Cortex A72, 4x Cortex A53 processor. See benchmarks for details.

Very good internal storage performance leading to fast app loading time, and zero slowdowns

Fastest 802.11ac WiFi I’ve ever seen

Very 3D graphics performance with high frame rate, and better looking games (with 1080p video output)

Video Output – HDMI 2.0 up to 2160p 60Hz; 24/25/30/50/60 Hz refresh rates supported

Kodi is working decently, 5.1 channel pass-through support, and high Antutu Video Tester score (972 points)

Widewine Level 3 DRM supported

OTA firmware working (but it might not be something you want here).

CONS
Chinese user interface only, but you can change the language if needed.

No Google Play Store, and installing it on the device is non trivial.

Not obvious way to change the Launcher

Lack of Ethernet port

No power off mode (only standby/sleep), and relatively high sleep/standby power consumption (4 watts to 6 watts)

Some issues with Bluetooth to connect to my smartwatch and Bluetooth headset

HD audio codec (DTS HD, Dolby TrueHD) are not supported for HDMI pass-through

3D MV videos are not supported

Been using it for almost 3 weeks now and really happy with it. Small quirks here and there but coming from my old generic s805 tv box, the difference in speed for loading and exiting of apps is really night and day. Its really worth the price if you are able to purchase a set at or close to the china retail price of 399rm(~$83).

Can Netflix, Hulu, and Google store works?

Can watch netflix but limited to 480p max. Except wetek core, no other china made tv box will be able to support netflix hd and uhd due to drm and netflix certification issues. Dont use hulu so cant comment. Can install playstore but need to root first and then install the relevant google apks. I didnt root my set so cant provide the steps to doing so but then again, if you are proficient enough you dont even require playstore at all since there are various other avenues out there to download any apps and apk you want.

As long as your PC monitor have a HDMI port, the tv box should be able to work.

Wifi strength is still a point of consideration.

Can teach how to make tv play the movie directly from pc?

and right now i use hd stream to watch live show but network slow = chiu.
any other soln?
