I saw that there are a number of versions of TV box and am clueless on which one to buy.

Anyone has any guide to connect/share media files/folders from my Windows 10 PC, so that I will be able to play them on the xiaomi box??

Use smb.
SMB is already enabled in Windows 10. Just enable the file sharing of certain folders containing your videos, music etc.

In KODI, enable SMB share, refer LINK HERE

Depends whether you have 4K TV or not. If only normal HD, I would suggest the try and tested fully matured S805 based set top boxes from China at US$27-28 delivered.

If 4K is required go for S905 at US$32 delivered but system software for S905 is not fully matured yet and S905 uses more power so may face heating problem. S905X still have various problems reported so better wait awhile.

Found out it is impossible to key in a URL in the pre-installed chrome browser

The keyboard comes up and once i key in a letter it pops away

the space in xiaomi box mini finishes quite fast when using kodi, is there any easy way to clear the cache and make more space..

there are very little HD channels for english/taiwan/hong kong/korean contents, so im asking if anyone knows if there is a paid iptv for this? deke tv looks good but lacking in local channels (my old folks need it). TIA!

Note: Only work on MI BOX 3S ENHANCED (White). Try at your own risk. Always update to the latest firmware before trying the steps below.

Press on the "OK" and "Back" button on the remote. Cycle the power to your Xiaomi box to access recovery. You may have to try this several times.

Search for IPTV or Huat88 reseller. You can ask for the channel list or buy the trial account to have a feel of the service before going for the annual package.

Buy a dvb-t2 set top box from qoo10 at about $25. Can watch all local channel in full HD, free for life.

actually i tried deke tv. not bad. still considering whether to pay for IPTV services. now, only lacking in korean live channels.

yeap, am going with this option for the local channel. dont think will subscribe an IPTV service unless got a very good one.

The black one is newer. Specs almost the same between the 2 except the white one is 6 core soc while the black one one is quad core soc. Also, the black one runs on android tv 6.0(not a big deal if you dont know what it means). Overall based on local seller price, i would go for the white one since its around 30% cheaper and slight better soc.
