If use viewqwest wireless, able to stream seamlessly on Xiaomi?

小米盒子设置〉select & enter your wifi name > 无线网络 〉select and enter your wifi name again > 手动设置 change from 关闭 to 开启 〉go to DNS服务器 and change to 8.8.8.8

finish, go back twice till you see 网络测速 to test the speed.
you can try before and after change the DNS and see if it got improve. (test at least 3 times to check consistency)

Changed the DNS but still getting occasional buffering for youku and iqiyi. Guess I just have to lower the quality.

youku and iqiyi always slow, tudou & Letv is good and fast.
occasional buffering at night consider good alr.

they got good reputation for good streaming of china show, but it still depends on the server at china. if slow they also can't do much.

and VQ is very exp

I bought the mibox from Qoo10, and it was jailbroken with the installation of shafa launcher.

How do i change the DNS from shafa launcher as i am not able to find the option in the settings, and if i tried to change the home launcher to xiaomi homepage, i am hit with the error in authentication message.

Please advise. Thanks.

View 小米盒子 as both the iCNTV app and launcher. I suppose the error is referring to iCNTV.
Just go to 应用 section (launcher) and you can see all your apps.

Or you follow the instruction from Jhwak, then switch back to shafa launcher by pressing the home button. You just use the 小米盒子 as the app to change the DNS setting. This is what I am doing, because I like the shafa launcher interface.

Android users will know no need to jailbreak anything to install all the apps.

some program like 兔子视频 can do buffer. if too lagging, just paused and do your stuff 1st and return 10 mins later, movie smooth smooth till the end.

ICNTV cannot use unless you are in China or using China VPN.
anyway ICNTV a lot of movies need to paid.

Hi glx, yes i am referring to ICNTV error, which means i am not able to access
the original settings of xiaomi box. Any alternatives to change the settings?

Which ISP are you using? i am getting shitty speeds for almost every source you listed here, except for netstartv, which i think the videos are pulled from a non-china server. i am using singlag 100 mbps fibre.

connection problem

Hi Guys,

I need your advice.

I just bought the box and when I connect to my 300 fibre. When I connected to wifi network it work only 50/50.

To make it better, I going to buy a Homeplug to my room and connect via USB RJ45 Lan Ethernet Network Adapter.

Would you guys able to recommend any of the good homeplug and network adapter for me?
