Could be weak wifi signal. Did you try testing your connection speed with xiaomi built in testing tool? It's under settings. You can try to pause the play for awhile and let it buffer.

Bro I am.on wired and the speed test show very good and suitable to play hd quality of movies.

I also tried to pause awhile to allow the buffering and I go do some other my stuffs but sometime I saw it became 0 kbps.

also I took almost a week to complete a 2hr movie captain America 2 which made me also almost threw the box from 20 storey all the way down.

Which app is laggy? So far VST, Togic, Youku, iCNTV not lag for me btw I am on M1 fibre 100mbps.

May I know how do you get Youku app onto the box?

The apks you installed are not working well if you are on Singtel BB.

Did u try to change your default dns to other dns like 8.8.8.8 or 114.114.114.114?

install over wifi, just go to the application page on your xiaomi and click on 远程安装 or something like that, there after, enter the ip and port on the screen on your desktop and u can install. just simple drag and drop

you have to be on the same network..

If is xiaomi box and yet to try the dns no which u provide but if for my modem and I got no idea how to change it.

There are many factors that might be the cause of your problem.. I assume you are using the build in test in the Xiaomi "native" test option in the network menu.. As the result is good so we can conclude that your physical network is not the problem. You should be able to play contents from Xiaomi iCNTV..

Many user use the Jailbreak version of Xiaomi with other UI (rabbit or other) which stream contents from various sources.. Some of these sources might not have a good network link via your Internet provider.. It is hard assume an ISP can provide link to all sources with good speed as IP traffic to China are the most expensive in the world today (how about said 20x). Most of the contents are still hosted within china but thing are start changing..

So the problem might be with your ISP provider network does not have the good link to the contents streaming sources. You should try out different "app" or select the "good source" to stream from.. Personally, I like to stick with native Xiaomi app to stream contents from it iCNTV which deliver via CDN 19, 26, 30 as my ISP seems to have good path to the sources..

The problem is NOT with the box.. the problem is with your ISP.. I assume your home network is not an issue especially with WIFI connection and you have a new finer network connection from one of the ISP in town....

If you have PPTV installed in your box, Viewqwest properly have the best services for connection to PPTV as I understand there are PPTV contents cache locally in their network.. It work extremely well for my Xiaomi box with VQ Fibernet connection..

Google is your very best friend and you should try to keep a close relationship with Google

I give up on this method..becos PC can't detect at all. Since it's third gen, u can transfer to thumb drive and pluck in. This is how I do now.

I tried input this DNS 192.241.222.103 in the xiaomi internet setting and all the ICNTV block issues was removed and my streaming for 兔apps is also working fine with smooth streaming.

Currently enjoying watching despicable me 2 with my kids with wired connection.

FYI I am on singtel fibre op 100 mbps plan.

Can anyone teach how to change the DNS?

I'm on snbb with only 10mps. Using xiaomi 3. No problem with apps that I use. I prefer qmall from qoo10 because applestore don't always open. Qmall better service. They even let me see how it work before I purchase.
