Turn off the Ai .. it will try to guess what the subject and then try to optimize it for you. You are way above it already.

Focus peaking is in the pro mode.

Yes I turned that on in pro mode.

Ai seems to be more for other stuffs.

i think in Pro mode u r on your own no more assists like Super Macro

Now I just need to figure out how to do macro in Pro mode zz

This pano works very well !

very nice pics! I like using the watermarks for some of the meta-data info at times.

As @rrr2015 mentioned - check out the editor features; some of the new AI stuff are pretty impressive - the erasure and expanding a photo features has taken over Google Photos/Pixel IMO. (waiting for @RyanJ to confirm as I started with the Nexus and stopped at Pixel 3-ish)

I didn't like the way pixel processes the color and there is this longish perceptible delay when the phone processes after pressing shutter so I hardly use it to take travel pictures except for documenting stuffs like menus, where I park the car etc ..

In fact I have taken much more travel pics with current XM15 in a week than my P7P over the past 2 yrs +..

give up..can't do a @RyanJ smokey food pic..raw photos:

Swee!

I kinda find that steam / smoke adds a degree of dynamism / freshness to an otherwise static food shot.

But have to ask staffs to serve hot and gun down multiple frames and see which one gives a "best display"

Interesting...cuz I kept reading how good the pixels are for photography after I left google factory phones..it was pixel or fruit phone at the top of the food chain.

Now u know why I grabbed the 1TB...my 13U ran out of 512GB pretty quick when I try to get as many shots as possible.

Ah..I was recording the video of the wait staff serving the longevity bun cuz it was a BD thingie. U master of smoke on water...I think the ones u took with the 15U gives a good 3D feel to it.

I will try the XM dynamic setting for pics next time if I see steam/smoke coming on a dish. Never used it previously but seems like it's a good one for such pics and motion stuff. Too many features to try on small rice.

Next up is to learn how to use the 15U for concert pics and videos at A Lin's performance next week..not enuff time to learn! 😅

I file "dump" up the cloud and nas every now and then :s13: My phones are usually quite empty / spacious most of the time.

Offhand what do u do with the files left in old phones ?

I have 2 cloud backups daily..google one and amazon; NAS on quarterly basis..but only purge local phone photos/videos annual basis or when it crawls so slowly. I should learn to do more housekeeping 😅

old files purge/findmydevice/factory reset a couple times before getting rid of old phone. Bootlocker is pretty much locked down for all new XM phones.

Skipped lunch earlier and went to nearby vegetations to take some insect macros. Very slight drizzle, weather cooler insects probably more sluggish.
