Hi everyone, apologies if this isn't the right thread. I recently attempted to flash my Mi 11 Pro with Xiaomi EU Tom and gotten stuck at TWRP. Appreciate if anyone can help and guide me!

I would try to compensate your time and effort with a token if you can successfully help me in fixing it. Thanks in advance.

sometimes don't upgrade if nothing is wrong.. i find that is very true for MIUI..

Hi, interested in this phone, may I ssk:
1. Where to get this phone?
2. Is there a non-China/global version with official Google support?
3. Is there official Xiaomi warranty?
4. Does the Xiaomi store (e.g. at Suntec) have this to see in person?

Thanks!

Xiaomi SG is not releasing the Mi11 Ultra locally. You can get from other retailers but they will be listed as UNAUTHORISED sellers as stated by Xiaomi SG. You can get the phone with different roms mainly china/global. Warranty will be under Xiaomi China i think..i Just sent my brand new set back to China as its my unverified linked account got locked.after this im selling it away. its a hassle.spoilt my June Holidays trying to solve the issue with Xiaomi.

What "linked account" do you mean? Do you mean Xiaomi account? Is the phone usable without using Xiaomi account? I mean just using mainly Google account.

Besides lack of local warranty, what are the main disadvantages of the CN rom? (most commonly seen on Carousell listings)

Are there any Google / Android related things that may won't work well?

Bought the Mi 11 Ultra during Shopee 7-7 flash sale, price $1250 (before $60 discount voucher), 12GB+256GB Storage White. The Ultra version is not available in SG. I bought this with China ROM, which means exactly what you will get if you bought it in China. Outer Box is vacuum wrapped. The phone, someone has opened it before as the inner wrap is not intact. Condition, it is new (if not 100%, 99.9%). It is heavy but manageable. Built quality, excellent. Charging speed, very fast. Google? Yes, but you need to download the Play Store fr the APKMirror site. App, all working except Chrome browser. I workaround by installing the Chrome Beta. Side APK load for the Chrome browser didn't work.

Auto Notifications, need to set App to 'No Restriction' and 'Auto Start'. Xiaomi is trying to manage all app to control the power consumption, a good motive but you may miss some notifications or syncing. Setting mentioned above will remove the restriction. Trace Together app, worked but need to change the above settings to make sure it runs all the time in the background. SingPass, works. For Messenger and Viber , I need to set Notification Rule to 'Important'.

Permission. For Yahoo Mail app, I have to allow Permission to 'Show on Lock Screen' so that I can get timely notifications. For WhatsApp, need to grant permission to 'Display pop-up' for video call notification. For Whatsapp and Viber, need to grant 'Read Your Contact' permission to make sure that contact name is displayed correctly in the app.

Calendar, if you are using Google Calendar, it needs to be installed manually. Xiaomi Calendar app can link to Google calendar. Google Contacts, can be linked up to Xiaomi Contacts.

Default China Apps, many of them can be uninstalled.

For those China App that cannot be uninstalled, try to disable the notifications. In the 'Restrict Data Usage', uncheck the WLAN and Mobile Data. In the 'Battery saver', set to Restrict Background Activity.

Overall experience after 3 days of using => Great Phone, China ROM is usable but not suitable for the 'Dummies'.

Thanks, what is the procedure for flashing to XIAOMI EU ROM?

After doing above, anything else will remain non-working / abnormal?

Most of the permission adjustments mentioned by herbalman would still be needed to get a apps to work as expected as on a major local model like a local Samsung S21 series?

Another thing with EU rom... am I correct that the 2-monthly updates will be more troublesome to do? Need a PC and cable each time?
