Xiaomi software engineer replied on gms issue.

Google asked all phone manufacturers worldwide to close the loophole of user installed gms on unrooted phone. Google will ban user installed gms on unrooted phone anyway. The affected phones do not update to 12.5 may also not be able to use gms.

Phones that comes with preinstalled gms is safe and xiaomi plans to upgrade phones that meet the requirement with preinstalled gms.

Nope can just get global set. For China set of flagship model like mi 10 or mi 10 ultra also not affected. Heats up is affecting all Snapdragon 888 chipset devices.

FHD+ is 3200x1440 and WQHD+ is 2400x1080???

1st bug is well known. Not sure if they have fixed in latest MIUI. You should try updating.

didnt manage to try installing netflix as i do not subscribe to netflix haha. there is this problem with 12.0.19 is when i off floating noti, it still appear when new telegram msges come in.

1st bug is well known. Not sure if they have fixed in latest MIUI. You should try updating.

I manage to get Netflix working by side loading v7.87.2 build 16 instead of the apk directly from Netflix.

BTW does any of u have issue with the default keyboard reseting back to the Chinese keyboard after rebooting the phone? I have set SwiftKey as my default but it always change back to the chinese keyboard after reboot.

BTW does any of u have issue with the default keyboard reseting back to the Chinese keyboard after rebooting the phone? I have set SwiftKey as my default but it always change back to the chinese keyboard after reboot.

Updated to the latest MIUI but still defaulting to Sogou keyboard after rebooting even though I have disabled it

For Google Pay to work, need to change Default Wallet to HCE wallet.

Global rom not available yet. And global rom comes with GMS.

Nintendo games will also not appear in play store, even if sideload from apk repository will not run. Google location history cannot be enable. This and netflix should be caused by china rom preinstalled gms using china version of gms.

I think china govt forced google to remove some features of gms to comply with regulations. Some developers use this to identify china phone and disable their apps from running.

I'm surprised that my Baseus 65W GaN charger can charge Mi 11 with Turbo Charge.

Does your mi 11 get heats up easily??

I've played One Punch Man for 30 mins in my room with ambient temp 27.8, no heating issue. The back of the phone is just slightly warm with no sign of overheating. I have the display set at 1080p 120hz.
