Anyway I couldn't receive the verification code. I don't know is it due to the fact that I'm using Giga. Sigh...

I kept trying until now and there's a message asking me to try again in 24 hours because I exceeded the maximum amount of trying. The funny thing is that when I plug my phone in my laptop. It detects the phone without any problem but the Mi unlock took cannot detect my phone. Mi PC suite also cannot detect. And I am using the original USB cable. Really very sian about the whole issue...

Try another sim card. U need to register mi account and tie the phone to the account then can unlock bootloader.
Also need to download the latest driver so that in fastboot able to detect your phone.

Thanks for the reply bro. I only have one sim card and this number has been on my Mi account since 2013. So I find it strange that it couldn't send the otp sms. It worked on my cc9 pro and mi 10 ultra but I was using M1 then but the number is the same. As for drivers. Any idea where can I download the latest driver? I downloaded the drivers and when I search in device manager. It shows as Android. The laptop has no problem detecting the phone. I could see all the phone folders and stuff on my laptop but mi unlock tool and mi PC suite couldn't detect it. Mi PC suite kept asking me to update my phone fitmware. My phone has already been updated to the latest CN firmware. I'm really at a lost now...

Thanks for the help. I managed to download the latest drivers and my phone can be detected now. But I have to wait for 24hrs to see if I can receive the otp verification code. Another alternative is to download the mod mi unlock tool from an xda user. It bypass the sms ota totally. I don't know if I should download the xda mod mi unlock tool or not...

That time i have an issue with otp but its for find device
What i do is off and on find device and the otp came after that

Have u also seen xiaomi posted their new automatic factory I rather believe xiaomi did their due diligence to conduct sampling drop test
