Ever since 6.5.4.0. The update they released to fix the heating issue which imo, wasn't really that bad given that this is a midrange phone and not meant to run graphically intensive games like those high end Snapdragon 800 series phones.

People need to realise that this is not a flagship and quit whining as though they've paid $500+.

How is the photo quality ? someone here post camera is very lousy and video did not get recorded.

Depends on what you're comparing it with. If you're comparing it with a flagship then of course, you know the answer. If you're comparing it to phones of around the same range then it performs decently well.

I've used a Redmi2 and Zenfone previously and the Mi4i camera outperforms these 2.

Tried many times. The claimed in build Sony camera picture quality is quite wash out in term of color. Nothing near 5c. At time worse then Redmi 2 due to forcusing.

iPhones process images differently (and much better) from Android phones. Moreover the hardware used in 5C was the same as in 5, the previous flagship, so it will surely outperform midrange devices.

LOL it is different so it is better...
It is the best in Set A so it must be better than middle in Set B.

Obviously. If not there would be no incentive to buy from Set A. Why would one pay more when they can buy the same quality as Set A from Set B? It doesn't work that way.

So, any outcome?

I've been exchanging email with the customer center, FB messages and finally visited the service center at the Central because they've insisted it.

They guy at the service center told me that they can't issue refunds but can take phone for repair but "there are no guarantee that problems will be gone" - actual quote.

Also, new discovery in the list of problems - the phone was powered off and fully charged the day before I took it at the service center - when he tried to power it on, the battery was flat. Get this - battery got flat from 100% to zero from powered off phone in 12 hours.

Well, I went back to the email to customer service and told them everything I thought about the phone and their service. I made clear that I expect refund, not repair or replacement.

Now I am waiting for the response.

You still don't get it, I am critizing your opinion because it is base on your perception rather than hard data

Specs and data are widely available online for your comparison but at the end of the day, its the user's perception that matters.

not a xiaomi user but your experience sounds horribly infuriating.

suppose they don't offer a refund (because of company policy etc.), what are you going to do?
