the phone should be 6.6.10 out of the box, what the other bro is telling you is from 24th Aug onwards you might get OTA update for MIUI 7 developers edition, dont update to that till the MIUI 7 stable rom available a few months later

Only if you are using the MIUI 6 Developer ROM now, then you will receive the OTA of MIUI 7 Developer ROM. I highly suppose so

Ah ic. OK noted. Then maybe later today going to any of the 3 telcos to test the MI 4I for the interface. Hope it's as good as samsung S5 but can't ask much as the price is quite mid range without any contract to sign liao. Don't disappoint me MI 4i!

You will be disappointed. S5 is way much much better than Mi 4i, in term of CPU speed, camera quality and others. S5 is last year flagship smartphone while Mi 4I is only a mid range smartphone.

Bro,

I would agree with you only if you can even find a brand new s5 around. 2ndly if you can find a brand new S5 at 300+.

When any consumer there is always a performance / price ratio that one will be willing to accept. Unless you are one of those serial phone changer whom buy use for a few months then sell and change to the latest phone.

Yup, I guess I have to accept it as both w/o contract is already too much to be compare. But as I am not sure how slow is mi4 till I able to test it then I see what's the different. S5 is consider 'old' w S6 is already out. Currently holding S5 so I think I can see how big different can it be n willing to accept or not. But thks for the comparison so at least I am prepare.
