Anyone with a mi 5 can check what is the charger output ampere?

China plug? 5v=2A?

SG/UK plug? 5V=2A?

Hi guys, I just received my mi5 from lazada , it is on 7.8.11.0.
may I know what rom is this? The phone is installed with Google play store and you tube, which I thought China rom won't comes with it.

I am in the mist of requesting unlock, am I on the right track to flashing global rom?

Fake rom version. Better flash to official global rom.

when i received my mi5, its sealed, does that means that seller flashed it to fake rom and re-sealed it?

My phone at times show app recommendation (like malware), kinda disappointed, rather receive a china rom with no such junk.

Silent scope, I got the same version too. Its loaded with malware and got this horsebrowser u can't un install right?
Google instruction to flash with Chinese mi suite. No need wait for bootloader unlock.

Is very easy ti do the sealing. Phone is real. Just the rom version. They did this for Google play so they czn sell to Europe country I think.

not nice to expose, shop does this for a living. They flashes it to that rom because it caters more to the locals, rather to give them a china rom.

only feel bad for those who have little knowledge to flash the rom, and have to deal with the malware.

I still have not flashed it to the global rom yet, hope i can understand the tutorial of the flashing.

easiest way is the flash with unlock bootloader. the chinese mi suite method may not work and need to try many times.

few things to take note when applying unlock permission as many claimed the unlocking not failed or unable to verify the device.

it only takes 2 to 3 days to grant the permission nowadays.

1. visit http://www.miui.com/index.html to make sure you are not logged in in this website.
2. create a mi account and bind a hp number to it.
3. when unlock permission is granted, log in your mi account in the new xiaomi device and put in the sim card (the number you registered in the mi account) in the device also.
4. log in the same mi account to unlock the phone in fastboot mode.

if buy from xiaomi tmall offical store, prices as follows:

32gb abt (RMB1999) $420 -> $470
64gb abt (RMB2299) $480 -> $530
128gb abt (RMB2699) $560 -> $620

Add in some ezbuy shipping + GST, is about $50-60 more, doesnt it make more dollars & sense to buy yourself?

pls dun flame me, i'm just tinking out loud
