I bought a few usb c earphones to try but mix max2 can't seem to detect any of them. Tried to enable the usb audio function in dev options but it seems to be on by default and the dev option is to disable it.

Anybody managed to get those oem usb c earphones to work with their mi max2?

Anyone facing same issue as me?

9am - 100%
10.30am - 8%

Current Firmware -

I'm very frustrated with the situation. My friend say that it might be a genuine case of battery problem instead of firmware issue.

Been using my export mm2 since 17 June 2017 and had 0 issues until... Now :( Any suggestions / solutions guys? Thanks in advance!!

Battery power dropped from 100% to 8% in 1.5 hours? I think this is a battery problem.

Can anyone recommend me a trustworthy and not so expensive shop to get the battery replaced? :s12:

Either at a 3rd party vendor in Singapore or JB. Or should I be heading to the local xiaomi service centre instead? :s12:

Unless local set, Xiaomi service centre won't entertain.

Nope, I don't surf mi forums.

I have already did a factory reset but no change in situation.

Now I'm wondering if replacing the battery helps after clicking on your link Zzz :(

Maybe roll back the firmware prior having this battery drains issue.

Seriously? Even though I'm willing to pay? A reasonable fee of course.

Both 9.5.4 and 9.5.5 gave me issues :s22:

Then try to roll back prior to these version to see if it go away or not.
Just in case even if you replace the battery it is still the same.

Xiaomi service center do not entertain export sets.
This may to avoid future problem if repaired by them.
Most distributors service center do not handle export or grey (import) sets as they have their own customers based to deal with.

Googled and got the battery replaced for $50.

My existing battery looked like a play dough - soft and easily twisted, on top of that they found water dew on the battery when they opened up the back case.

My phone has been on a cover since day 1 and I've never ever dropped it into any liquid before. Definitely weird AF.

Gonna monitor the new battery and keeping my fingers crossed that it'll solve the problem once and for all.

I went to the same place to fix my screen. Sadly the replacement screen was a lot dimmer than the original :/

Sorry to hear that but we have to practice buyer beware -

Always ask the relevant questions before committing to a repair shop.

I sms them asking if they did battery replacement for mm2, how much did it cost and if it was original battery before heading down.

They even let me check out the replacement battery and helped me to google when I thought that mm2 battery capacity was 5.4k and not 5.3k (as shown on the replacement battery).

Finally as an added precaution - I just watch how they did the replacement. I must say I'm pretty impressed to see the end results - my phone was spotless and there was no way I could tell that it's actually being opened before at all :)

But of course, there might still be things that we can't cover and if an unscrupulous shop wants to go all out to rip us then we gotta learn from the lesson. Man, its really hard to be a happy consumer these days :(

Maybe next time you might need to ask questions like the brightness/screen quality etc before you decide to change?
